Man, these woke devs just can’t handle the fact that the average gamer doesn’t want their propaganda. We don’t want it. We want good stories and good games. And they always misrepresent that desire as all the “ist” and “ism” words. Pathetic.

They call GamerGate 2 smaller and more pathetic. Then they can only get 50 people to not prove how qualified they are to do the job but instead scream like children into the air because they have nothing better to do. Meanwhile 400K people with jobs, money and options are the pathetic ones, lol.

They tried so desperately to spin the narrative in order to make themselves look like the victims but have now realized that real gamers are wise to their act. Nobody believes them and this reaction is proof they have no real power.

Honestly, there is one thing that these DEI firms and their gaming industry allies cannot change, and I am glad for it. They, all of them, need *us*. We do not need them. No matter what victories they may hypothetically scrape out, it is our money they need, and if we refuse to buy anything from them? They will go under. This is a conflict they cannot win so long as we stand together and refuse to open our wallets to them.

Worked in game almost 10 years ago in the UK. The day after the brexit vote, there were several hard left members of staff loudly declaring that anyone who voted leave is and I quote "A racist, sexist, homophobic bigot."(had to edit as i forgot the bigot bit the first time) Pretty sure there were some waterworks in there too. I mostly just ignored them and put my headphones on and carried on working but they were extremely vocal and obnoxious about their political views, they would constantly mention contensious things with a rightous vitriol knowing nothing will happen to them. I had other friends in the industry at the time in other companies and heard it was alot worse at their places. My point is the games industry was invaded quite some time ago by rather toxic behaviour, it existed on both sides there were a fair few creepy dudes at that place too. Not sure if it's just the nature of the industry that there's going to be alot of odd people that get into it.

i remember a saying from an asian: respect your elders, value your youngsters. it has two meanings, the first is literally that the youngsters should respect the elders, and the elders should value the youngers. missing one would lead to imbalance in social dynamics including abuse, as we can see the examples in nowadays' society. the second, the elders must become someone worthy of respect, while the youngsters must become someone valuable. basically we need to be both, because we do engage with people from various ages, classes, positions etc. as an elder if you're not worthy of respect, you'd be disrespected, and as a youngster if you're not valuable, you're worthless.

How does screaming help those people with their cause if anything they come off as annoying, immature, and crazy.

At this point, do we really need a curator to delineate what is Sweet Baby or not? It's gotten to the point that if it checks a few boxes, odds are SB was invovled.

I think the real victims are the devs who didn't want these Sweet Baby weirdos in their studio. But had no authority to keep them out. And those devs screaming outside the building need severe mental help.

It is time for REAL fans of the nerd culture to take back what was stolen from them. Projects to be taken over by people who understand the source material and don't use to for whatever tf their political messaging is if we can't save our beloved IPS, then we could at least start anew and gatekeep harder

I remembee months ago getting banned from the kotaku subreddit. One of their mods was writing so much woke shit so I just pointed out a logical fallacy and a few other things. Mod didn’t take kindly to logic and banned me 😂 I was lead to that subreddit when looking for stuff on anime (if I remember correctly). I hadn’t looked up Kotaku but the post interested me… Even their mods are losers

I'll be blunt, just looking at the main character of that flintlock game, it's obvious the SBI influence is strong. A sassy black woman with a sideshave is an immediate red flag. The devs are probably just scared of their game flopping because of the association with SBI, so they're lying. I doubt the studio would survive a flop.

I used to be willing to give games a chance. Now, seeing how corrupt the industry has become, no chances. If i smell a hint of "the Message" it's a no from me.

If I see a poc in a European fantasy setting I automatically skip, if I see masculine female character I skip, if I see rainbow-propaganda I skip. Pretty simple for me to distinguish a “woke” game from a non-woke. I don’t need to see who’s involved in a game’s development. Just look at the final product and then pass judgement.

Going by Grummz, the protagonist of Flintlock was changed according to SBI's instructions. Looking at the Steam page, it seems the protagonist remains. Ergo, not all of SBI's changes can possibly have been reverted.

GDC 2024 proved that devs had given up on Sweet Baby Inc by screaming like banshees.

Ultimately it's an issue of us as gamers, standing collectively shoulder to shoulder and refusing to buy these games that are woke / driving feminism, alphabet content, or race / gender swapping in our entertainment. When they put out products with this type of content, if we keep refusing to buy it, we'll continue to put these companies out of business until they course correct. I will continue doing my part. Screaming is pretty much standard operating procedure for the woke movement at this point. Watch any debate, you'll see once people stop buying the word salad they'll just move straight to screaming, since feelings are more important than logic. However, it's time that Jo normal wakes up to the woke, and stopps caving to this nonsense! Here's hoping that books, films, and every other form of entertainment can have their own gamer gate 2.

I think at this point, i would like a group that curates studios that actively reject wokeness. It would be nice if studio actively start to denounce DEI. I would happily support those studios. Edit: you know i actually commented in a flintlock gameplay reveal video about how the game didnt learn lessons from forspoken, and i got called racist. At the time i couldnt understand why because my comment was directed at the bland brown scenery. Now i understand because i was attacking a DEI project...

Funny thing about Kotaku turning into a guide website, is that they’ll actually have to do some journalism and PLAY THE GAMES 😅😂 because the other options are -plagiarism or AI.

The people that literally said "support the devs, they didn't have to give us anything" ruined gaming. They weren't smart or savvy enough to understand that those devs need gamers to buy their products. Using that power to hold developers to task now is almost pointless because it is too ingrained into the industry. Gamers have to crash the system if they want games again instead of whining hit pieces against them while still demanding they pay for said 'hit pieces' at staggering prices.

Even if a company erases everything SBI has done on their game the game will still be woke. SBI is more importantly a signal for what kind of mindset the developer/publisher has. It shows they want to be woke. SBI's actual work isn't the main problem. It's a very small component of a bigger problem. Even if you erase what SBI has done. It's still gonna be woke.

On Hiring Minorities: The issue with that is that the pool is smaller, so if companies focus their hiring that way the overall quality of professionals goes under.

If SBI is in the right, confident, believes in their product, and believes in the messaging why are they upset about a curator listing ALL of their products for them. It doesn’t need too be seen as a negative. It can also be seen as a net positive for them if they believe in their own products and are confident they’re doing the right thing. But we all know they’re not and they know they’re wrong. They just wanna push an agenda too contribute too the tearing down of American society.

Its amazing what these people have been able to do while operating in the shadows. Of course thats why they had such a visceral reaction to the curator list, because it shined a light on them. We have to stay vigilant because I would bet my life savings a new group of companies under different names are already being formed so they can keep destroying the industry from the shadows. We can't stop at just weeding out SBI. We need to look for others as well.

We might need some ppl to volunteer buying/playing certain games to see if ANYONE working or associated with SBI was involved with it.

If there was a wall to fight back against this, I would be standing there with all of you to keep them from infecting more games that we will all fall in love with in the future. Just make good games again, that is all we want and ask for.
