You know, the current versions needs to put Second Chances back in the game - because we haven't had a $10K or even $25K win in years because it's now near impossible to win it.
Ever since the Dob was fired, they've failed to understand the importance of winners. A loser tells two people; a winner tells 200. Didn't Temptation go for about 3 years without a winner? And they're too focused on the large flashy prizes that budget constraints pretty much require they hardly have any winners. That's not how you run a game show. It's a stage show for the audience, everyone has fun playing along, and maybe the contestants will get some prizes. The best contestants on any game show could care less if they get a refrigerator; they just want to have fun.
@@danielrice7234 Roger Dobkowitz, commonly nicknamed by fans as "The Dob". He had been working on TPiR since the inception of the revival in 1972, and had eventually become one of the two producers. When Drew took over hosting (and subsequently Fremantle got executive control), a number of creative differences led to his termination at the end of the year, although Fingers (Kathy Greco) got to stay on.
Another blast from the past. I would have guessed '79 or 80 based on Bob Barker's dark hair and the models' hairstyles. Back when everything was better, even the game shows. Barker is a living legend and still going at the ripe young age of 99 and was the absolute best game show host, bar none..
Personally, I think that when Bob Barker looked at the other three and discarded them, he didn't do it for suspense. He just simply thought, "That's nothing. That's nothing. That's nothing. Girl did the right thing."
She’s so sweet! Watching these old episodes just make me smile..if only we could go back in time:) Also she’s wearing a very similar style pink sweater as Fashion Jeans Barbie’s sweater from 1981! Practically identical:) ✨👱🏼♀️👚✨
In my experience more men are trying “they/them” but with that said women still care about their appearance to women who say this, not everyone has the same priorities in life and to men who say that,,just because the unkempt fatties are the only ones who give you the time of day don’t blame that time take a look at yourself. Plenty of ladies in the 80’s were considered to not care about their appearance because they were following punk and then grunge so enough of the “back when…” nostalgia it was never as great as you think or claim to remember
The sign on the game is incorrect. It says "4 Second Chances." You can only win up to 3 second chances. Someone get Bob on the phone for me. He needs to set this straight immediately.
Something I just noticed…the first $1000 paper had a different (older) font than the $1000 from her last punch. Looks like that older one had been sitting in there for a while before they decided to switch to a newer font for the numbers.
@@coffeetime5995 ahhhhhh, I grew up in the 80s watching this all the time and all this time I thought it was whoever was closest. Learn something new, everyday.
If u grew up in the 80s how didn’t you realize that is was without going over, if every person who won was under the exact price 🤦🏻♂️ I guess I learned something new
You're talking 💬 about the February 14 (Valentine's Day 💝), 1984, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT ▶️, which featured sub-Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Kristin Bjorklund (née Kristin Marie Bjorklund, FAMILY 👪🏻 FEUD) filling in for regular Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Holly Hallstrom, aren't you? And furthermore, Happy 😁 Earth 🌐 Day!
@@jamesmcclelland1414 I know, but when Kristin's episodes were first shown back in June 2021, they skipped this episode. I guess they must've added it to the rotation very recently.

That tv lol I remember thing like that when I was a kid. I was 10 in 1984. Hell my mom probably watched this episode. This show was on right before her soap operas.
Hold on... there are ten (10) punchable holes across by five (5) high. That makes a total of 50 possible holes. But according to the placard, there are 54 possibilities. Did some of the holes have two cards?
@@Qwentar what I meant was there were four special slips on the board, one each of the lowest four values ($50, $100, $250, and $500), which also had "second chance" written on them. I
