1. It's a good thing she won 10k in cash. That would have helped her pay the 17k tax bill. So she only would have owed 7k in taxes 2. In today's money her winning would be worth about 120k 3. That 1984 Cadillac she won was absolute dog water. My family owned one and would go about 50k before breaking completely down.

The record breaking winner was awfully chill about accomplishing that feat. If it was me, I'd either be jumping up & down like crazy or blubbering in a pile of goo. & you gotta feel for the other contestant going over by a mere $13; she'd also thought the other lady had gone over instead. She was smiling too soon.
