I was simply enthralled at the names of each sweet pea variety. How magical! I admire your diligence in taping their progress just to show us it CAN be done! Beautiful doesn’t begin to describe each blossom! Your little stamps and labels are so you! I love that attention to detail that you bring in everything you do. I even appreciate that you keep sounds like little seeds hitting a tea cup, water being poured, your precious animals in the background with such relaxing music! You truly are an artist! 🙌🏻💕💐
Your video productions are a work of art Jeri. Those are beautiful flowers and combinations are so breathtaking in the vase and you also have wonderful handwriting, of course you’re an artist, that’s why. 😊 …cheers…Brian
I can tell you used so much time in making this extraordinary video for us , it was so beautiful and with such delicate details of planting each seed. I personally needed this video tonight to show me the beauty in Gods world through your work. Thank you 💕
Just sitting down to relax after a looooonnng day working around this 85 year old house (which always needs something fixed) and fighting BUGS while digging a trench at the bottom of the berm out front (to RECLAIM the silt and migrant gravel from the driveway. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the side of a mountain. I'm either walking uphill or downhill whenEVER I go outside to do anything. Whew...I just marvel at all you accomplish with all your GOD given talent that you have cultivated and freely shared. Such a treat to see this video, after my day fixing broken things. Thank you Jeri, for sharing yourself. Love in CHRIST my LORD, Darla
I feel your pain in walking up and down the slopes, (we have So many of those, but nothing like you have in the Blue Ridge) I also relate to the old house...they are never completely in order.
Jeri, Jeri, Jeri! This video is one to watch and enjoy many times over! I was loving the music thread at minute 6 and I didn't want it to proceed, I wanted to 'hold' the moment! This has been a Wonderful exhibit of your diligence because you took us from seed to full bloom and fragrance. I love this video and I THANK YOU for your work and your God-given talent. Blessings!
Your sweet peas are lovely! I’m so proud of how you have persevered , and are now rewarded ! I’m inspired to try again . I’ve not been successful in years past . We live in zone 6 , with temp extremes throughout the Spring . Should I sow the seeds in the late Fall ? Our ground is frozen solid in January. You mentioned sowing Sugar Snap peas in your other garden . Will edible peas grow well and produce in the Summer ? I’d love you to show us your edible pea growing process as well . I’ve struggled with them too !
I would plant in fall . I am sowing snow peas underneath the sunflowers for the shade provided by the plant... it will be an experiment. Peas are really a cool weather crop, but I'm willing to give them a try in June.
Thank you for this wonderful video. You put so much work into it and it was informative and lovely. You put special touches on everything you do and I just love it. I am in Zone 7a and I'm going to try putting my sweet peas outside much earlier. I've only tried starting from seed once and the plants looked great but once I got them outside and planted on a trellis they did not flourish. I'm going to try again. :)
Bravo 👏🏼 Beautifully done!!! I don’t think I’ll be doing sweet peas anytime soon…but your journey with them has been amazing and inspiring for sure! So glad you have your beautiful sweet peas💜🌱🌿
Such a lovely video Jeri, congratulations on your success of your sweet peas this year! I have some planted but they are growing very slowly, still hoping I’ll get some blooms soon. 🌸🌿👏
Oh Jeri how beautifully you show our Creators beauty, and abundance through your garden and videos! A true masterpiece!❤ Thank you, I love your videos most of all! I haven’t done sweet peas in years, but you’ve inspired me to do them again, because I do love them.
Another breathtaking video, Jeri. I, too struggled with getting sweet peas to thrive. But as you were, I was persistent and I’m so glad I was. They are such a delight! Thanks as always for sharing. This video was a real work of art.
Thank you for taking the trouble to make this video Jeri :) Monty Don has often said about using long pots for the sweet peas because they have such long roots. Yours look lovely and you must be feeling a sense of accomplishment now that you have been successful. The colours are gorgeous :)
Hi Jeri, Thank you for the beautiful video. And congratulations on your successful growing of the gorgeous Sweet Peas ❤ I love how you prepared them for sowing, the little shepherd hooks and the round plant labels beautifully stamped with the bird images. A thoroughly brilliant video xx
Long-time listener/watcher and I don't want to sound bossy but I have never had good luck with Renee's seeds and have "complained" to my garden shop over the years, especially the sweet peas. I always have gorgeous sweet peas but do not use their seeds anymore. Enchanting Sweet Peas are the best but pricy. Hugs
You don't sound bossy, we all have our winners and losers. I've done okay with Renees and also with Everwilde Farms. I just hate spending a lot of money on seeds.
I do not know where to find them but I bought a little plant at a small craft sale and it was marked “ Everlasting Sweet Pea”. It has come up every year for at least fifteen years. It has lovely cream and pink flowers and it grows on a little rusty old windmill like yours. Does anyone else have an “Everlasting Sweet Pea”?
So pretty. I tried them for the first time this year. I planted seeds in March. Transplanted out in late April. They are so slow to grow outside. Perhaps they aren't getting enough sun. One group gets morning sun, one gets dappled sun. Neither one is more than 12 inches tall. I will try again next year. thank you for sharing and inspiring me to try again.
I love the smell of sweet peas and their beautiful bloom. I have never been able to grow them myself. Someday I’ll try again. This video took quit a few weeks to bring it all together. Thanks
Watching this early in the morning, what a lovely start to the day! One of my favourite flowers Jeri. Mine are just coming out and I gave the first bunch to my daughter yesterday for her kitchen table. I adore the seed packets you have and I would have to frame every one of them!! Just beautiful along with your plant labels. Thankyou for this lovely video.
I think you have figured out the art of growing sweet peas and I’m glad you didn’t give up! I was just thinking about you today as I was checking my own sweet peas and a vlog appears. I’m curious how your beds are coming along on your back slope you began last year? Might we see an update on that project this summer? I always look forward to a visit from you and you never disappoint Jeri!!!:):):)
I wanted to let you know that Park Seed has 10 packs of seeds for 10.00. So many good things, lots of veggie seeds and flowers. Just wanted to let you know. Have a great weekend.
What a joy to watch this video on a stormy evening. Love all the special touches you add with your artistic flair I was able to grow the most beautiful English Spencer sweet peas at my old farmstead but have had no luck at all since moving to a much shadier woodland home. The honey like fragrance is so worth the effort and fills a room with their presence. Thank you for reminding me of them. I will try again next Fall.
Enchanting Sweet Peas from California were my go to supplier for several years. They are guaranteed to grow and never disappointed. I highly recommend.
This was lovely. I think I look forward to the accessories that you use along with the main theme of the videos. ") Where did you get the bird stamps, metal hooks to hang the wooden rounds? I went to Renee's Garden and the seeds are on sale, so I ordered several packages. Your diligence is appreciated. In Joy
Hello Jeri, hope you and your James are recovering very well from your sickness. As we are having quite the bitter cold, a bit of icy snow, an unusual time of winter for us, but it puts me thinking of my sweet peas I ordered. Remembering this video, I am watching again to refresh my mind. I know you all have much more winter weather than us, yet I am thinking you are pondering on planting as well. Look forward to your plans for the spring. In Joy@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow
I always love hearing your peacocks Reminds me of my childhood. Wish i could have some now but i have Neighbors and we all know they like to roam some.
Oh, your sweet peas are glorious! I loved watching this video as I had my morning coffee with one eye on the deer in the front pasture. Love those wood tags - will show my husband to see if he can make some - so much prettier then pop sticks. You made my day! Thank you.
Thank you so very much Gerry I love them that was so sweet I was I was mesmerized by its beauty hopefully maybe next year I can do that I have to find out which is to see you said you bought a go back on your video. Thanks again love every video that you put out.
I am still planting things too. I went to a tractor supply place for a windsor bench made from steel. People weighing 400 pounds can sit on it! I had a pastor once who weighed 400 pounds. . . . He came to visit and I was so afraid he would get hurt breaking my furniture! I need to get some geraniums to plant next to my new bench. Our new bench.
When I was a child, we DID have a very heavy Pastor, a family friend, sit on one of our chairs and break it! I felt really bad for him, not so much the chair.
I would have felt bad for the pastor too! My furniture is antique and belonged to 6 generations, so it would have been a sentimental loss. C'est la vie!
Jeri, my oh my, it felt like I was transported to pea paradise…you’ve worked miracles there. I especially love those reddish burgundy colored ones. Thank you for this beautiful video. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Your handwriting 🖋on the label is very beautiful. This year I hope that I manage to grow some sweet peas as well. At least they've shown up already. You have a big variety of sweet peas 👍 It was very difficult to get seeds here. Now I have a package with a mixture of different colors and I hope to collect seeds from the colors that I like.
It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. But!, in Jeri's garden, it was the year of the sweet peas!❤ I'm so happy that you've finally had a successful year with them! I am thrilled for you! The video production was impeccable! It was the perfect ode to your peas! Congratulations!!! Here in the Texas panhandle, we have had rain! We have had flooding in places that it's never flooded like this before. We are fine. I am in one of the highest areas of town. It's been so nice and cool and GREEN! The wildflowers out in the country are gorgeous! Other than the ppl who had to leave their homes due to the flood, it's been amazing! Our lake is filling. It's over half full and that's better than it's been in years. We haven't been anywhere near normal temps. It's mostly been in the 70s. But, it's come to an end. The temps are going up fast, now! We started this week at 73 and by the end of the 10 day forecast, we're 97! Ugh! That's gonna be a shock to the system when the 80s feel hot! Oh well, it was a lovely spring and you got beautiful sweet peas! Yea!
Just had my tea break and had to stop by to watch. A beautiful and informative video. Summer just wouldn't be the same without growing sweet peas would it. Your seed packets always looks so much prettier I think, than the ones we get here that tend to just have photographs most of the time, rather than beautiful illustrations. Enjoy your sweet peas 🙂x
