Thank you for sharing your story. Crafting is so much more than the creation of the end product. Crocheting has helped me through some difficult times as well. ❤
I know what you mean Quilting got me through losing my husband from a 10 year battle with cancer because I was terrified at the thought of having idle time. I’ve always been good at doing things, sewing and crafting and crocheting. That’s why I’m looking forward to knitting it’s just one more process that I would like to do with my hands in my downtime when I’m watching TV and/or sitting at a doctors appointment. It just seems like a good way to use your time and creating some thing is never a bad thing, right? Thanks so much.
Good Morning. Happy Sunday. The market looked like lots of fun. I had to laugh yesterday at you talking about Teddy and him being afraid of the ramp and stairs...Yes our little dog would never use the stairs, we just donated them...Nope he would not even put one paw on them. Silly dogs. As always it is so much fun when you do your vlogs...such a treat
Experienced the same grief many, many years ago. It took me about 2 years before I could even think about crafting. At the time mine was sewing, but now I'm all about knitting. Love your hats! I'm making Chunky Chelsea hats. 😊
What a pretty sweater you knit and gave to your friend. I love love Navy and that sweater is interesting. I don’t have a “trendy” interest in new-now… I am trying my best to knit with intention. We downsized in 2018 and I gave most ( almost all my yarn away). We had a huge house…. Kids off on their own so I as well gave away 46 hand knit sweaters….now sad about all that. Mostly Rowan patterns as my LYS was a Rowan store. Mattress stitch was the only way to finish. I now am enjoying all the top down options . Thank you for sharing your story…. So glad you had such nice friends. Jammie’s before dinner is so nice!
The hat is lush! I loved the sweater Jane is wearing. MASHAM…. It baffles everyone who isn’t local! It’s pronounced mas um - the H is silent. It is a beautiful village in North Yorkshire in England and they have an amazing brewery! I live about 25 miles away xxxxxx
Gosh, I will miss these vlogs when this is over! I look forward to watching you every day. Could you share the titles of a few books that you have read? I am reading, Hello, Beautiful right now. I have read almost every Freda McFadden book, and have The Teacher to read next. I’m always looking for a new author to read. I love the pink of your hat, and the navy with that mohair is gorgeous! Easy Like Sunday Morning, is a great song and the sweater looks perfect. Have fun knitting it! ❤
I cannot tell you how much I love your Vlogs. I found you the first week in December last year. I have since caught up and watch ed everything. I haven’t knitted since I was in junior high I remember how to cast on knit and cast off about the size of a washcloth. That’s all I remember and I thought OK I’m gonna do this and you have been a total inspiration. Thank you for that. I am actually a quilter at heart. I’ve been Quilting for almost 30 years . I was a crossstitcher before that I made my own clothes and I crochet so I’m hoping this will be as good as I think it will. you were talking about how sore your back is. How is the height of your work surface? I also have downtime in the evening when I feel like that’s the perfect time to take up knitting, and I have downtime in the morning too. I was thinking about starting off with a triangle shawl where you only cast on 3. Any suggestions? I am so excited to get started.
hi! I'm so happy I am helping to inspire you...honestly there are so many triangle shawls on Ravelry - and free! my work surface is a good height...think standing on the concrete floor takes a toll ;)) I hope to someday learn to quilt!!!
@@sweetskeinomineamanda2059 it’s good so far! I’m using nutiden for the first time so it’s slow going w the unsung yarn but looking forward to the end result.
