I’m trying to grow as an artist and though I only recently found this a month ago, I’ve watched it 50+ times (more every week) and it has become one of those staple art pieces that I think will continue to inspire me for years. It is so well made, fun to watch, I love the transitions, expressive, tells an awesome story, cute- I could keep going. A lot of those views are me- I don't even remember how many times I've rewatched this.

Wow I've refound this after four years and it's just brought back so many memories 😭❤️ I found this while I was in a tough spot, struggling with possibly the worst mental health I've ever had. Not gonna go into detail, but it was awful. I watched this animatic on REPEAT as the colours, the story, the characters were just SO mesmerising (and still are). Looking back on this just brought back so many positive memories from that time which I honestly thought I didn't have? I don't know what im trying to say, but this has a very special place in my heart and it's wild how much art can impact someone. Artists put so much care into their work and it effects so many more people than you'd imagine. It's something AI could never replicate. And hey! This, and few other animatics, inspired my art SO much. Seeing things like this shoved me massively in the right direction and now I'm in art school! Thank you to both the creator and every other artist who puts their work out there. You inspire and help so many people than you realise and everyone's so talented. ❤

God I've watched this idk how many times and it's been living in my head rent free all afternoon. How to make me sympathise with a character in less than 4 minutes. It's really inspired me with my own OC lore. Also I love Caln's design. It's a great mix of being both gruff and soft.

I like the sinc with the mouth moving the actual chin of the character when he sings. It is just so good to see that since alot of animations that I have seen with people just have their mouths moving but nothing with their chins which drives me crazy.

Is just incredible. I'm probably not the best reference for "animation quality" but I can tell you things is probably my favourite. The dynamic movement and the solidity of the characters is beautiful and each part flows together so smoothly that it almost brings a tear to my eye; nothing feels out of place in this, the characters move from one thing to the next in a crazy hallucination and the energy is high and the next second they're lying on the ground and it doesnt feel jarring or wrong because the transitions are so good. Again, I'm probably a terrible critic but I needed to convey how much I love this.

I love that even though he's clean off hard drugs, he's still struggling with addiction? Idk. It's a nice little hint that addiction is harder to get rid of than people give it credit for.

3:10 I don't think that people realize how powerful this scene is. Any sort of addictive drug is very hard to quit, and not many people are able to find their drug of choice and just throw out away like that. My grandpa was pulled back into a tobacco addiction by one stay cigarette he found in his pocket and he killed his lungs because of it.
