Hi guys - Uk resident here. Just watched your feature article on Harmony Guitars. Great to hear the Harmony name back in production. Use your influence & get Harmony to re-produce vintage models: e.g. Stratatone (semi acoustic with the De-armond gold top pick ups) would be a great start. Harmony fan from way back. ☺

Don, these guitars are made in the Heritage factory, which the old Gibson Factory. They are hand made here in the USA.

I had a harmony acoustic. I'm pretty sure it was a 1966. I bought from a girlfriends neighbor having a yardsale i saw the neighbor bringing if out and b lined to it to make sure id be in front of it b4 all the lookyloos....It was really cool. Wish It didn't get stolen. ...

Ritchie played a Harmony Stratotone H44. The H44 has just one PU. I have a 2 PU H88 Stratotone Dublet. Same guitar with 2 PU. One of my fav's It has more sustain then my Les Paul!!!

Man, guitars around $1,299 and no cases? I guess that’s the way for all brands now? But, dang at almost $1,400 with tax a case would be nice!

My first guitar was a harmony Bobkat. I don't doubt these are nice guitars, but I wish they could have stayed at a more entry level price point. So many good inexpensive guitars out there these days, I'm not sure made in USA+nostalgia is worth an extra $1000.

How come Sweetwater doesn't have their own line of guitars? like Harley Benton. seriously, if noobs like chapman and ola can just spec out a line and have their guitars OEM'd like at the same place that makes 10 other brands, I'm sure Sweetwater can dominate over here in the states. These guitars are nothing special beyond the name and you could private label and spec something just as nice for half the price.

To be fair, that's kind of the style these guitars are suited well for. Search some SW videos of Ibanez, PRS, Music Man guitars, they play other styles. Albeit, WHITE... cuz, these guys are usually white.

@@roymontero4066 As someone who loves guitars but that doesn't play boring white blues it gets old to see video after video after video with this style of music. I would have hoped Sweetwater could have thrown us a bone and at least played part of this video in a different style. These guitars are very interesting to me, but now I'll never know whether they would be good for me because there's no way to evaluate based on what's in this video.

@@roymontero4066 And what I play is based on old rock and roll too and it's hardly virtuosic. By leaving a comment on here, I'm just trying to get Sweetwater to understand that not every guitarist plays slightly overdriven pentatonic leads day in and day out. it just gets so old.

These guitars are made by Heritage who still reside at the old Gibson factory. The guitars are made no different then 50's Gibsons both with materials fit and finish. The Silhouette does not have gold foils. The top is just a look. The PUs are based off of the original Gibson Firebird. They have two blade PUs pushed very close together once the are wound by hand. The sound is as close to a single coil as it gets but without the hum. the guitar used with a bit of dirt will blow you away!!! At the price it has got to be the best value for money out there!
