we don't need long reigns anymore because they're boring, predictable, especially with this roster that aew are putting together. why beat all of the other top contenders and then who does he drop the belt to?

TK is a booking machine! Swerve is a future legend. He never disappoints. Amazing ass ppv ( as always) so happy for swerve. He deserves it Bryan needs his get back win for his retirement match Only wish Julia would of retained TK has done so much for POC within pro wrestling. I love it all

This is why I love AEW! We organically have a homegrown black champion. All the possible obstacles that might have prevented his rise to the top didn’t take more than a few years.

Are used to watch world class championship wrestling from Dallas Fort Worth, Texas back in the 80s the Von Erics promotion there was a guy there named Iceman King Parsons and he was the WCW world champion for a time. I bring this up because I noticed you kept saying that swerve was the first African-American champion I think iceman King Parsons actually was for a different company. Anyway I think swerve is awesome and he will make a great AEW champion. He definitely deserves it.

Iceman was never world champion in WCCW nor WCW. He was Television Champion a few times. I watched that show every week.

@@ericluis2710 yes, some are really better than others at wrestling, it's the same as anything else, like nobody is on ospreay, and danielson's level. cody is average, boring, mid, and shouldn't even be a world champion
