I have the Conqueror 480 2023 and find the sideboard area amazingly useful, so much so I don’t know what I’d do without it. The benches are long enough - Im 6’2”. The whole thing works very well and there’s very little I would change.

Great review, honest and very informative. I like the comparison between the two and the price difference. I’m not sure about the tv area,although glad the fridge is not on the awning side 😊

As is more often the case than not, I agree with Karina. The sideboard area with those shelves on the Challenger 2 berth are a bit puzzling. I cannot understand why manufacturers seem to ignore the fact that caravans are first and foremost, vehicles. To put it a different way, they are homes that regularly experience earthquake like shake when in motion. That means that things are going to move and things on a shelf with no lip or stopper are going to fall off. That means the manufacturer expects the user to put things on the shelf when getting on site and then remove them and pack them away again. It all seems a bit silly. Anyone that has looked into the galley on an aircraft, will see how everything is fixed down for take-off and landing. Even caravans have locking cabinet doors, drawers and fridge doors for this very same reason. Even the bathroom cabinets should have a low rail on the shelf (as home bathroom cabinets in Japan typically have) even if there is a door on them. I feel that the caravan designers need to take a caravan to a test track, pack the caravan up as they would envisage one to be on site and then have someone drive the car as they sit in the caravan and watch how things move around whilst in transit. I'd wager that we would immediately see better thought out designs.

Swift Been making caravans for decades. Why do their designers not learn? Do they ever actually test use them ? 😂

A good comparison and nice to see some smaller caravans. I agree about making a longer bed instead of the cupboard and sideboard. Fair review as ever.

Agreed. Before making a purchase we hired a Sprite and it seems all there bed are on the short side. Not a good nights sleep. We didn't buy a Sprite.

🇺🇦 Hi Karina and Jules. Thank you for doing a two berth Karina. That's what we have although older. We have the challenger sport but with a load of extras. Out of the two you reviewed, if you take into account the price and layout, in my opinion the challenger wins. As for the shelves we use it for our booze and glasses.🙂 Great vlog Karina, thank you. We have the Sprite Alpine 2. Similar but more basic, and of course cheaper. Kitchen storage is not well designed but manageable. Taps are awful, as all Swift owners know. Thanks for a well balanced review.

Great review Karina, I don’t think I would bother paying the extra and just go for the Challenger, especially with that wasted space opposite the kitchen - seems to be less of it with the Challenger & £6k difference is a lot!

I’ve just ordered a new challenger. I looked in the Conqueror but couldn’t see 6K worth of upgrade. If I was going to spend more money I would have strongly considered a Coachman

I want to see exactly where the radio is situated. It’s hiding! Is it front left cupboard? Plus you didn’t mention the omnivent and big skylight in the washroom. Makes up for no window.

Good evening Karina and Jules ! The Swift Conqueror, the interior , I could imagine the material of the sofa beds would wear fast (?) and I dont enjoy the panels either side of the lounge windows ( they look cheap)I like the wall units , they look enough and have shelves in each . I often wonder why ( in place of the pull down storage flaps ) the company doesnt put in pull out drawers, saves you having to bend down to place things under the beds. I like where the microwave is sited , not above the cooker. Opposite the kitchen , I didnt quite understand the unusual side unit , seemed to be added because they didnt know what to put there ?? I liked the neat wardrobe in the bathroom and the teeny slim table storage , a bit strange to place it in the bathroom but hey ? You made me laugh out loud when you tried to open the idiot proof cupboard door to the under bathroom sink ....the bathroom is basic on the Challenger and I agree with you about silly waste of space and I doubt if i knew whatto do with it , i think more cupboard space would have been better .
