I went river scuba diving in our local river. The current was fast and maybe a little dangerous. Still managed to find some good river treasures!

St Joe Brick is located in Pearl River La. The factory is still there and still making brick. I am originally from Pearl River and my parents house is built with St Joe brick. My granddad was a brick layer.

Jeremy, if you ever get to Ohio you guys should dive Tappan lake. There is a little town that is under it. Have always heard about houses, tractors, cars, ect that were left when the lake was made.

Grew up about 20 minutes from tappan and never knew that. I live in VA now close to Smith Mountain lake which was a town that was flooded to make the lake

@@Steelscript This is what I have heard for years. I fish Tappan alot and have heard stories. I've looked online for any pictures from divers to no avail. Laceyville was the town.

The Seattle public market is paved with named bricks. People bought them to support the repairs to the market in the 70-80. Pretty cool.

Seeing your brick "St. Joe" reminds me I wanted to ask you if you and your team would ever consider exploring the St Joseph River in South bend Indiana! I live in Tampa but I grew up on the St Joe I lived a block from the riverbank. It's a beautiful River it's full of mysteries, got a lot of currents one of them even flows backwards, it's true. I seem to remember back in the late '70s I think they damped most of the river up because they were working on something so for several days there was very little river there and many of us went down and explored and it was just so cool, found lots of old bottles and antique things.

Suggestion : Make a list each time what you took with you that day - before leaving parking area, attach to your steering wheel. after my brain surgery, I lost my memory for almost daily tasks, and life events - I make lists, on cell as well, same as packing for a trip - then loading return trip, use same list

I use an unsinkable kayak and heavy anchor in my river. To hold my trash/treasures and my dive flag. Never flipped on me yet…. 😁. My bodyboard on the other hand…. Great stuff brother!

Jeremy fascinating story on the brick. How did you find out that it was one of the original ones made in the 1890s. They still make them til this day and have various distributions throughout the south.

I had a 2lb Clip / Instructor Scuba Weight for net bag or for swift water, I had a 12 foot line tied onto a 3# Dive weight that slowed me down in swift water so I had a better chance of searching.
