In this video I am explaining to you what a pool flocculant is. I have been using flocculants for years when doing green pool cleanings. How they work is the dead algae sinks to the bottom clearing the pool up within one to two days allowing you to vacuum it all off the bottom.

Hello hope you been busy. So how do I add this floc to the pool. In skimmer or all over the pool. Do I mix it with water in bucket ?? Please thank

If you have a sand filter you’re going to need to put the sand filter on recirculate mode so it bypasses the filter. If it is a cartridge filter you’re going to need to take the filters out unless there is a recirculate mode. Then you’re going to pour it directly in the pool are usually walk around the perimeter of the pool and set the timer for two hours to shut off and make sure it does not come back on. Once everything settle down in a day or two you’re going to vacuum to waste and make sure you do not stir it up in the process. Do you have any other questions just let me know.

Thanks a lot boss. One question they told me I have chlorine lock 🔒 chlorine is same for 4 days n cloudy green from pollen. Told me to use floc will this solve the problem of chlorine lock too. If you heard of that before. Thanks

I would make sure that there’s no live algae in the pool if there is use liquid chlorine to kill it first then floc it if needed. If the stabilizer is super high you would want to lower that down so the chlorine can be affective.

I added flocculant to our pool yesterday morning. I can see the bottom this evening, but there's also a lot of flocculant floating on the top with dead algae and other debris. There's so much conflicting information out there on what to do. I've read to wait longer for floc and debris to sink, skim it off and vacuum, or mist the top with water to help particulates sink. As pool professional, can you please share your thoughts?

Hello my RU-vid friend. I’m sooo sorry. I feel bad bother you I need to ask you I have other pool same problem needs floc. But it’s DE filter and has no multi valve port. Just single old valve pull it up and turn it. No recirculating valve no waste. What shall I do. Thanks

Without our some diverter I would probably not do it unless you have the grids out.

Nope just make sure the pool motor is off and doesn’t come back on. It shouldn’t affect the floc.

When there isn’t one the filtration isn’t as good.
