Since I first saw her singing this back in 77, this has become my go to line when something screws up, sort of a "whatever will be, will be" line that I often use. "Swing and turn, Jubilee, Live and learn, Jubilee"
This is gorgeous and I've no doubt Jean and Doc played concerts together - but there's no way that's Doc on the guitar on this song. So, fwiw, this strikes me as mislabelled.
From what I understand this is from the album "Jean Ritchie and Doc Watson At Folk City" which is officially released on Jean Ritchies Apple Music, so I'm pretty confident it is Doc, unless for some reason they had someone else playing.
@@purplevr8727 Ah... makes sense. Jean probably just did a solo song. (Just because they both played on the album or at this concert doesn't mean they played every song together.) Doc's got a well-defined and virtuosic flatpicking style whereas this sounds to me like a softer and kinda naive (and charming) fingerstyle approach. I'd be pretty shocked if it was him on the guitar.
