Here in 2023! When this album came out I fell in love with their sound! Fan for life! I wore this album out! They were before their time! Timeless sound!
The farther we get from 2000, the less likely music of this caliber will be heard again. Great compositions, beautiful and talented vocalist, tight band. I'm only sorry I didn't discover them until around 97.
@@Eden-vt8bx Swing out Sister was definitely a hidden gem of the 80's and 90's. They combined their sound with Corrine's sense of Fashion (apparently Corrine was a High Fashion Model back in the day - no surprise she's gorgeous) which I thought gave the band a clean look and feel. If you haven't already check out their version of "Am I The Same Girl" Live or Studio
I love, love, love Swing Out Sister!!! Their live recordings turn out to be so much better than the originals. That's when they take the opportunity to really let go and be even more creative than before and jazz (usually the format used) things up a bit. Mr. McConnell seems always cool, calm and collected and ready to jam. Can any more be said about Corinne?! She's got so much style coupled with so much more charisma, being beautiful to boot!! And I reiterate, . . . I love, love, love this group!!
wwwoooowowowowowowwwww this is the most valuable piece of footage ever for any true SOS fan.... thanks for the upload!!! I remember have purchased this CD at the import section of Virgin, was like money-no-object purchase somewhere around 1995 and ever since, I've been looking for any kind of video from it!! Thanks again!!!
Just seen this memorable footage of Swing Out Sister from 1992 and Im glad to say that I was there at the front of the stage and on the video. Love the Jazz Cafe and thank you each and every musician in SOS for giving me an enjoyable night to remember. Seeing you and hearing you play live that night was a night ill never forget with your classic hits... Break - Out, and Surrender to name but a few.
Lastima que poca gente se de cuenta del gran talento .... Enserio mis repetos y esa niña marvilloosa coorniie algo asi pff sueño contigo todos los dias
Does anyone out there with video footage of this memorable evening watching Corinne and SOS performing live at the Jazz Cafe that can download for our enjoyment .
Clearly their studio albums only tell part of the story. This fearless gig (the Jazz Cafe album is a must-listen) revealed what they're really made of. The reinventions, re-harms, rearrangements, and improv. Thrilling how they let imagination run amok that night. If only their releases were this adventurous. This is evidence of how much they held back. A shame. I'm sure there were record companies to answer to, oh well.

Thank you Gersende for uploading this superb video clip and being a number one fan really enjoy watching this and standing at the front of Andy Connell . Do you have anymore of this concert. Thank you Swing Out Brother 😎🤩.
Impresionante... to say the least...alway good to hear them live...and in this instance not disappointed. Great group able to mix jazz touch of funky and Brasilia....style She has that ability to go hold with sounds . Similar to Gabriel Anders.. although different artists.. Gracias.. Simon a Brit in Spain 👍
Wow, such a tough song to try and do live.....yet they managed it so well. Too bad it wasn't filmed better, as I would like to have seen the trumpet players and the other musicians. Great venue, would have loved to have been there.
It may be recorded at a small live house in Japan Many of the musicians in this video are still Seems to be working with them... by the way, I was surprised that Colleen's singing voice was not different from the singing voice of the CD Great! And her long hair is also very attractive
Sorry to break this to you, but that is (was) the Jazz Cafe in Camden Town. If you could see the whole column at the back of the stage, you'd see it said "STFU during performances thanx"
Of course the mean machine behind the band is Mr Andy Connell. better still when he brought guitarist Mr Tim Cansfield made the funk sound really good.
Qué grandes. Cómo es posible que éste grupo caiga en la desgracia y actúe en lugares de medio pelo, cuando estaban arrasando con actuaciones de decenas de miles de personas? Qué injusta es la vida.. ♥️ 💋 ♥️ 💋 ♥️ 💋
