@@dregling5884 absolutely bro, it's ridiculous that that guy left a comment like that because yeah Theo Vaughn is a funny guy and his brain works in a silly way but you have to be really unempathetic if you can't realize when he's being serious and spilling his heart out a little bit on these streams, I mean his father was in his seventies when Theo was born, he's got a lot of anxiety and trauma and I'm sure he feels like he got ripped off by not being able to really enjoy his father so there's a lot of built up anxiety in him and you can tell he's trying to find his way, I'm happy to see other people that are able to see this the same way I do, I don't want Theo von to be another Robin Williams if you know what I mean, they smile on the outside but they're frowning on the inside, gang gang baby

All that needs to happen is that he delivers the jokes the same natural way he does on this past weekend. When he’s chillin his delivery is on point. He doesn’t need to bring a desk up with some ferns lol. He also doesn’t need to try and hype the crowd up how he did in the special. Point is, all he needs to do is be himself.

Having watched Theos latest special, I really feel stand up is reductive to how insanely smart and laterally capable he is. These monologues and the interviews showcase his abilities so much better than formulated stand-up, imo. I'd love to see him do live interviews in front of those same crowds. It would go down so well I think.

I keep saying and sustain he needs a smaller stage for specials to thrive. He doesn't need to prove to us he sells tickets, we know he's talented af but even Dave chappelle prefers smaller stages, there's no shame in that. If that special was with a 100 people or something he would have smashed it. He needs to concentrate on finding an audience sweet spot otherwise he's too influenced by the big crowd.

I usally dont go near specials. I loved Theos. He's clearly nervous but a nervous Theo is better than 99% of comics out there. I also think he suffering from exhaustion. Take a month off Theo. You deserve it.
