Listen to that high-pitch buzzsaw, the Bæ 146 is a very interesting regional jet especially given that it's a quadjet.

Very true! The sound was always special indeed, also when the flaps were lowered, how during “gear down” one would think the undercarriage will be ripped down :)

The CS100 is more than capable of landing and taking off from the LCY runway. Unfortunately, LCY needs to expand its other facilities to be able to handle the larger aircraft, and in particular, its larger passenger loads. Currently, BA flies an A318 out of LCY, but the plane is configured in an all business class arrangement with only 32 seats. There are plans to expand LCY, but they have only recently submitted their application.

There is quite lot of them...RJ 70=Sukhoi SJ 100, RJ 85=Perfect replace>>>Embraer 190STD. But i would pick LR for more flex. routes. RJ100=Bombardier CS100, Airbus A318>>not recommended. I am not sure will CS100 be able to land LCY but it should do...Hope this helps

@matthiashaenni I've flown enough times out of London City mainly to Zürich, but also to München, Tegel, and Tempelhof. Isn't the Jumbolino wonderful? The Swiss replacements won't be the same, nor will London City. The BA twin jets are horrible.

ZRH aah I was forced to pass a night there because I lost my LX corresponding flight due to late arrival of my first flight in GVA. They put me to a morning flight and another change where i had to wait 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Hey brew, I want to ask you something.. What's the different between RJ100 & BAe-146? Same model, same engines, same sounds... They're in the same manufacturer right? It's British Aerospace. But what's the difference?
