Maybe it's because I'm going through my gaming backlog but as much as I am hyped for a new Nintendo system, I don't really mind all of the delays. Heck, I kind of welcome it.

Super Mario Sunshine. Tales of Symphonia. Tales of Eternia. Metroid Dread. Currently, I'm planning on tackling either Valkyria Chronicles 4, Rodea the Sky Soldier, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 or Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.
Why are people even expecting the console to release before March 2025??? Nintendo never said anything on that sorts nor they eluded about it... Only thing they said is that they will announce a new device on that time period NOT RELEASE!!!!! And the fact that this is being discussed multiple times at this point and "quoting" mutliple peoples and sites because of misinformation since everyone is just assuming at this point is just a clown-fiesta.

My backlog is happy that Switch 2 is taking this long to release tbh. I'm more than happy to let Nintendo cook, especially if it just leads to an even more impressive and polished console. My only annoyance is that I'm still hesitant to get started on certain non-Switch franchises such as Yakuza because I just know that they'll announce a Switch port the second I boot up Yakuza 0 lol
Yeah I really hope they bring the Yakuza series to Nintendo at some point, either on Switch or the successor Played 0 and Kiwami last year gotta start K2 soon, great games
The only reason I initially thought 2024 made sense is because Nintendo wants to do a "smooth transition" and having a second system alongside Switch would keep momentum of their business, in my opinion. Entering 2024 I was only expecting remakes and smaller games, so a hardware release in the second semester would complement that nicely. However, given their sales forecast and the games announced in June, it is clear their focus in still on Switch. Since the June Direct I was really skeptical that Nintendo would even reveal the system this year, simply because there is no window to discuss the new hardware and the new games if you simultaneously want to have strong holiday sales. I am expecting a February-March reveal (instead of a February Direct). In any case, I will say it is weird that Nintendo didn't simply say "we are not going to launch the new system this fiscal year", if that was always the plan. I can't be sure they never considered 2024 or early 2025, as they are probably monitoring external factors (exchange rates, production capacity...) to make the final decision.
I can’t wait for the Switch 2 in April 2025. Yep, it’ll be a nice, hot day when it releases in July 2025. But I can’t help but wonder if Dec 2025 is too late to release it? Maybe it’ll give them enough time to build a library when it finally comes out in March 2026.
I don’t see how people are discontent with the current Switch. I know it’s not the most powerful console but it gets the job done, and I’m always finding new things to play on it (like GoodFeel’s Bakeru).

@@nobleinertThis whole “underpowered tablet” thing is so dumb. You were never gonna get some Uber powerful HANDHELD device. Im sure you’ll sing the praises of the Steam Deck, but that launched at like $800-$1000 or something, more than the freakin’ PS5. You’re obviously not gonna get that in a $300 device aimed at a general market rather than a tiny minority. It’s in part why Switch is doing better than all of them. There’s some areas where Zelda runs slower, but for the most part it was fine and I was playing on Wii U. I sincerely doubt anyone can tell the difference between 720 vs. 1080. It would have to be a bigger leap like between those and 4K. I care less about them hitting 1080 and more about using anti-aliasing which is way more noticeable. On a 1080 TV the resolution looks fine. It’ll only be a problem if you’re using a 60-70”+ TV which are only 4K TV’s. and if you have the budget to spend on that, either buy a PS5, a Steam Deck, another PC, or a TV with a built in upscaler. Because I have one of those and it even makes PS5 games look sharper. Switch obviously won’t look great (as is) on a 65” TV, but it wasn’t made for that and when it launched, 4K TV’s didn’t have a huge adoption. They were already trying to balance affordability, power, and size. If they put more effort into one of those things, people would complain about the other two. This isn’t to say it doesn’t have its flaws. But people need to realistically put that into perspective. And ironically, I don’t think the Switch’s power is as much of a problem people claim. Sure your AAA, hyper-realistic, open-world adventures with high-poly models will get compromised. The gap is too great. But there’s a bunch of visually simple games that have performance issues. Games that look like they could be on Wii U and should have no problem running. I think developers are phoning it in or for whatever reason have a hard time translating from one platform to Switch. Which would be a different issue. Adding another engine isn’t going to help your steering issues if you’re missing a steering wheel. Supposedly it’s easy to develop for, so I think they’re just phoning it in and banking on the huge install base to buy it anyway.

I think most of the impatience being seen by some other creators and reporters is cause they are losing views and interest in their content so they are just pumping out switch 2 content in order to cover themselves. And also Nintendo isn't required to switch around there plans just to cover ad revenue for creators. Sorry for the rant im just frustrated with switch 2 stuff atm. Great video 😊
I bought a Switch OLED this year and im so happy with my backlog and with my early Switch Physical Games Collection. Im not worried about the sucessor at this point. Not waiting anymore to finally get a Switch 1 was the best decision Ive made this year
I don’t know what you said for people to claim you came off uneducated, but I’ve been pushing against the 2024 Switch release narrative for a long while now. Partly because I didn’t have the money for it so I didn’t want to think of a big purchase like that. Partly because I just had a gut feeling it’d be later on. If anything, my stance was uneducated/stubborn, but look who’s right. But yes, all this has been annoying. Everyone continuing to go to the well of Switch 2 news despite it running dry repeatedly and continuing to speculate after they’ve already said what they had to with the current news has also been obnoxious. But all the analysts changing the goalposts is also just ridiculous and they look foolish after. I still got a sizable backlog to go through of new games, which is a tad rare for me. So I’m happy to keep waiting, especially with what we got for the rest of the year. The news will come when it comes. We all just gotta be patient.
When did you hear any handheld pc outselling the Nintendo switch ? How can an 8 yr old system be on the level of a 4 year old system yup ps5 had 300 k sales more than the switch but that’s not a win just a realisation that the ps5 will not reach switch numbers , keep on hating Nintendo is eating well regardless 🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely nothing has changed. They said it would be announced this fiscal year. Never so much as a hint that it would come out in March. Them telling people that it’s “April at the very earliest” sounds to me like they are targeting April, which was the impression we’ve had since the initial “internal delay.” Starting their fiscal year with a big launch just makes sense. I would be surprised if it’s much beyond that. Their stocks are taking a hit and that may encourage them to get it out in the first half of next year, regardless of original plans. The freak out over this extremely loose interpretation of information is extremely frustrating. It’s click farming from dying Nintendo channels.
I don’t even care if they release it anymore. It won’t suddenly make stale games with 0 passion built in like ACNH, Kirby or Peach fun to play. And it won’t make future releases better either, most switch games feel like a polished turd when you get past your own feelings of excitement towards them.
The Nintendo fanbase is extremely impatient w/ this Switch 2 info... i am sure Nintendo is well aware that they are itching for some kind of teaser announcement/ reveal to the Switch successor and Nintendo youtube channels losing views, etc and all of this nonsense... but that isn't going to make them announce this thing sooner rather than later... Fact is, they don't even have to announce it this year if they don't want to and they could hold out to say January of next year or Jan-March... but I do expect an October reveal at the earliest... but overall there will be plenty to play on Switch this Q4 when you factor in 3 brand new first-party games + some interesting third party stuff like Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, Horizon Lego Adventures, the Dragon Quest remakes, etc.. and there may even be more like a December game...
Seems silly with all these rumors. We can just wait a bit and look at what Nintendo does. If there is some Switch successor news from Nintendo this calendar year, early 2025 is possible. If we hear nothing from Nintendo until the end of financial year, Fall 2025 is likely the earliest. Sheesh.
@@BoTalksGames That's not really directed at you. When everyone was saying mid to late 2024, you we arguing for early 2025. So you were never really a part of that crowd. What's angering me is this sudden flip flop without a hint of shame from our gaming journalist. 4 months we saw a barrage of articles claiming and confirming 'developers say Nintendo is telling them March," but today (and some by the same sites) its "developers say Nintendo hasn't told them anything." They can't both be true. And even if they were different sites making these, why weren't there more sites pushing back from those claims if they were erroneous?
Still think its weird myself for people to be clamoring for yet another console to spend money on and set up and get used to and buy a library for, especially when the Switch is *still* doing insanely well
TBH I'm just at a point that the Switch successor is set for Holiday 2026 and Nintendo is going to want to go big on this, April 3rd 2026, Nintendo, Universal and Illumination is going to release the Super Mario Bros. movie 2 in theaters and will possibly beat Inside Out 2 for best animated film in the box office, but We'll get a tease by June 2025 and a reveal by April 2026 and most likely, Nintendo is going to launch a new 3D Mario game with the next console along with a possible F-Zero and a possible Splatoon 4 and that we're going to get a tech demo game like Wii Sports, Nintendo Land and 1 2 Switch to show what the console is capable of. Nintendo has Mario and Luigi Brothership, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Metroid Prime 4, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD coming plus un announced games like a possible port of Yoshi's Woolly World, Star Fox Zero, Zelda Twilight Princess HD and Zelda Wind Waker HD, Dr. Mario a possible new Mario Kart and a Mario baseball game 2025 will kinda be a slow year for the Switch (maybe a few third party games will come out in 2025 though 2026) and 2026 will be dry until the next console launch to meet that Holiday 2026 year.

Nintendo change their plans all the time. I already knew the switch 2 console will be a mid 2025 launch (Metroid prime 4 is the hint) because it’s common sense. Timing is everything, according to Nintendo’s business logic.
Reports that Nintendo delays Switch 2 due to third parties not being ready. Then we get reports of Nintendo telling third parties that it won’t be launching early next year. Nintendo crushing their own momentum. This makes no sense whatsoever.

Yeah I'm with you. I've been team 2025 since day one. I was never one of those people that believed in 2024. Like you said, Nintendo themselves even said that Switch was only in half its life and that it would have a longer life than usual for a Nintendo console. If anything, I just hope this proves that people need to believing every "REPORT" that they see on Twitter or online. And just use their heads for a moment and think to themselves.. "If Nintendo is still releasing games... then why would they release a new console?". You know what I mean?
All this Switch 2 nonsense, hardware rumors and speculation in general, has taught me that while they can be a little bit fun, they can be so painfully obnoxious enough where I don't even care when a system releases, I just simply want games to play and we're literally getting more games and new ones at that, the Switch 2 can wait especially since these upcoming holiday games must sell well. I'm very hyped for the Switch 2 don't get me wrong, but I really don't think we should be THIS desperate for it as if the world is ending especially since there's nothing else official to go by aside from the tweet from May. People should really focus on playing games instead of focusing on hardware all the time. I love hardware and technology as a whole, but if you don't have games for me to care about, then hardware means nothing to me and I think people should have the same mentality. Just play games. You'll have way more fun than talking about systems especially since we don't even official looks of them yet to have anything to truly talk about.
