Switch joined us live from LA for a Production Masterclass focussed on 'The Art Of Sampling'. We got to hear amazing tales of breaking music for Major Lazer and M.I.A and having to present music to Jay Z and Beyonce armed with nothing more than a laptop and a sound card.
Switch requested that we provide the source material for the samples and he selected and cut up the samples to show how he preps for a writing session before working on brand new music.
We also got to see the brand new stemming function of Logic 11 in action which was hugely impressive and got to watch someone who's made music for Kanye, Beyonce, Chaka Khan and learn about his workflow.
Dave told us he'd 'never done anything like this before' so we're really really lucky that he took the time to spend with us. Please watch closely as regardless of your chosen genre - you can learn a lot from this one.
