It still counts in my opinion. If the idea of the N64 running Switch games is considered forward compatible, then why not the actual fact that the Gameboy could run black carts?@@lucdubois3927
@@HeyItIsMichalNot sure it really counts as the GBC is not a new gen Gameboy. It's like saying that the OG PS4 can still play games with PS4 Pro enhancements. Well, of course it can. In fact, it's not even on that scale the difference was so minimal.
@@elianhg2144 yes, but I was thinking more of inserting Switch Cards onto an N64 Console pretty much like this short fantasizes. Although it technically wouldn't be much of a stable idea since Switch Cartridges don't have their own save-data unlike Game Boy and/or DS Cartridges.

Honestly it sounds plausible that you could at least get the N64 to attempt to load something (like an intro screen card) from a switch cartridge (assuming it has an SD slot) since they're basically just SD cards. It's like sticking a DVD in a CD player, it's not going to play the movie, but some will play the soundtrack from the film depending on the specific CD player and DVD. I figure it was going to be something like that, but instead he's just like "lol I straight up lied for no reason, can't believe you watched this to find that out 😂" P.S. Did you know you can play Skyrim on the infotainment screen in a VW Jetta? On some models there's a DVD player in the glovebox for playing music or loading system updates, and if you have the original Skyrim game disk you can load the intro screen! (Just kidding I made this up for no reason)

Sadly enough Wii U is capable of playing DS games in symbiosis to TV Screen and Pad as a second monitor by running the games through their virtual console and purchased games (or on CFW injected DS ROMs) but instead the console got spent a rather useless SD-card slot instead of a slot for DS cards😢 It' not a hardware-design thing, rather a stubborn mindset by company's leading heads
Considering the Switch was the first 64-bit Nintendo system since the N64, I thought it might be possible with some additional hardware in the slot. 😭😅💀
Well it can be done if you take the shell off of a Nintendo 64, and modify the Switch hardware to fit inside of it, do some soldering here and there, also be able to add the wireless functionality of the switch while still keeping the ability to use Nintendo 64 controllers.
Of course I didn't believe you. The switch could maybe play emulated 64 games. But the console requirements are so drastically different between each console that it would be crazy to play both like a computer.
I knew this was bullshit from the start. I’m a RU-vid veteran. We had many “And THAT’S how you play YOUR WII ON YOUR DS” videos by putting the console on top of the handheld in my day.
There was just now way the n64 from the 1990s had the computer comparability for a game made for a console made in 2017 I know this was a joke, but still
I’m positive you could save the progress if you could recover some way to connect the Nintendo 64 to the building’s electrical system’s ground connection!
it is impossible for N64 to read switch games.. for a simple reason... they are written with another programming language not compatible with N64... furthermore N64 doesn't really have the physical resources needed for a switch game to work ... can we stop this bullshit?
Bro!!!I literally was doing this.When I couldn’t do it,I went back on the video and it said “I was lying”. That disappointment me,but nothing was harmed upon doing this.
The people who thought this was real has probably not played on these older consoles because the N64 could barely play Mario kart 64 without removing several details on the courses and such so Nintendo switch games would never in a million years work
