Having shifted from a mild Sunday crawler to a pretty capable multi-day overlander in recent years, my Jeep's accessory and equipment needs have changed. My first few attempts at Jeep camping during the summer months here in Taiwan were miserable. It was either carry a giant 50LB ice chest that took up half my Jeep or make repeated runs back into town for ice to refill a smaller more manageable cooler. This frustration lead me to what I call "Project No Ice"
In Project No Ice, I go through the entire Jeep and redo nearly everything electrical to be able to run a competent but compact dual battery system. This system powers a camping refrigerator, inverter, lighting, and all my other electrical needs off grid.
This phase of the project started off with a hand full of heavy duty relays and toggle switches I bought on Amazon. Then I discovered the advantages of a switch panel system. No relays and half the wiring! First I bought the base model Auxbeam. It seemed like a decent system but, after a bit more research I found Switch-Pros and I knew the Auxbeam wasn't going to do it for me.
The difference between budget systems like Auxbeam and programable systems like Switch-pros is just night and day.
This unboxing is an abridged clip from the larger project which the almighty RU-vid Algorithm
apparently couldn’t give two $#!%$ about judging by the view count on the full videos. But if you're a details nerd like myself and you're interested, click the link
