How close does the hub have to be? Can I control my tv downstairs and my fan upstairs? Or would I need another hub in my bedroom

Hi! Is it possible to control smartbot remotly, like wifi (not bluetooth)? Or does it have to be connected to a mini hub in order to be able to "press button" when I'm not at home.

With the SwitchBot, how many timers can I set? Can I have it press every 10mins? Or set time periods spaced out every 10mins to do this action?

Yes you should be just fine doing this. You can create multiple schedules for button presses.

If they are IR devices, you'll need more. If not, just one will work.

I'm having a hard time getting my Google assistant to control the scenes. I can manually control the scenes in the Switch Bot app but not by voice. I can only control the off and on by voice.

the device i've installed my switcbot on needs to be pressed 3 times to turn on in the correct mode and right now i just press it manually in the app 3 times. Is it possible to setup a shortcut where it presses 3 times? do i need a hub mini for this? thanks.

@@Justin_tech TY! Also, having now watched it, I don't think the usefulness of this device can be underestimated where the disabled or mobilty-challenged are concerned. For wheelchair users, people with arthritis, bed-bound people (my dad was for the last 10 years of his life due to complications with his diabetes leaving him unable to walk), just something like the curtain bot to help someone keep a bit of their independence with a simple thing like opening the living room curtains or the shower curtain is amazing. The fact they can do it from their phone is a wonderful thing. Bravo for this product and for showcasing it!

You make a really great point. Many aspects of a smart home can prove useful for accessibility! I’m sure it could enhance and help so many people’s everyday lives who really need it.
