Have a Samsung x495 and service since 2006. I can buy $ 5.00 worth of minutes and I’m good for the whole year. That Samsung x495 is a clamshell talk only. The service is T-Mobile. Battery holds a charge for several days.
i pay for Verizon's premium plan and i do not have reliable service in many areas when traveling domestically, they advertise nationwide best coverage at the same time i have poor service even locally
Thank you sir for being concise and to the point. I was also lucky enough to score the US Mobile Amazon Prime Day unlimited plan for $25 a month even though it is now capped at $75 Gigs. Still aplenty! :-)
Is there a way to save on Pre paid plans. We have 2 phones on Verizon and spend about $90.00 a month for both. Any cheaper advise to keep current phones?
Visible has two monthly plans in July 2024: one is $25 and the other is $45. Some people have different pricing because of deals. They also have annual plans now!
I have Cricket. I have the $60 unlimited data plan. I pay $55. I don't really need the unlimited data, hotspot, and cloud storage. But it also has Max (formerly HBO Max) as a free perk, which I love. I've been considering switching down to Cricket's 10 GB plan for $40, but I don't wanna lose Max. Plus, with unlimited data, I don't have to worry about connecting to WiFi everywhere to save data, or using too much data if WiFi isn't even available.
I have been with VZW for 20 years and their service is horrible. They now only have 2 offices in the US and all others are outside of the US. I am done and searching
I was with Sprint/TMob forever. About to switch to Consumer Cellular AARP unlimited plan. $55 for 2 lines only. Any ideas on a plan for my iPad? thanks. I enjoy your videos.
I’m not sure if CC offers iPad plans. You could call and see if they’ll send you a SIM. I use WiFi only for my tablet so I don’t have much experience with this.
I have a tracfone that is due to add more minutes in September. Will the same process that you mentioned work when I am selecting a new carrier? I only pay once a year and get unlimited text and talk, but I have to pay for data which I seldom use. PS This is the BEST video I have seen regarding cell phone plans and coverage!
Yes, these steps are good if you're switching from Tracfone to another carrier. You're in an interesting spot. There are plenty of 1GB or less plans available right now from multiple carriers. If you like the annual plans, check out Red Pocket's eBay plans and see how they compare to what you're paying. This is the cheapest one they offer: www.ebay.com/itm/2-50-Mo-Red-Pocket-Prepaid-Plan-200-Talk-1000-Text-200MB/133196831828
I had TracFone and a lot of data call we're going to voicemail my service end date October looking for another provider I don't want to go to Metro that I'm going to go back to consumer Cellular
I NOW HAVE ASSURANCE WIRELESS AND WHAT A NIGHTMARE TRYING TO GET THE PHONE ACTIVATE! THE SERVICE TECHS ARE IN THE PHILIPINES AND NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SPEAK BETTER ENGLISH. OH, BY THE WAY, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WHEN ITS ALL FREE!
What if??? My GM Vehicle is part of my Plan. I am on some sort of Shared Plan right now where my Vehicle and my cell are grouped in the plan and sharing data. I am hesitant to change plans because of that.
Thank you Michael! You've helped me out so much. Tried visible on an older phone as a trial first.. The only thing I've found is that I get so many Spam texts.. Will be switching my main phone number to visible. I'm on Verizon now, but I'm looking forward to saving a bunch every month.
I test these services with new numbers (which are actually recycled) and often get a lot of spam. Hopefully once it's your regular number that will not be an issue.
Confused about the tone of this comment. When you switch providers, your phone must be unlocked. Contact your current carrier to unlock it -- but know this will require paying off the device if you are on a payment plan.
I just made the switch from Verizon to Consumer Cellular. I have two lines: one for personal and one for my freelance gig. Was paying about $90 for 2 GB. Will be cutting bill in half and getting 3 GB!
I am an Uber/ UberEats carrier, I have 4 phones & a tablet (household) which carrier and amount of data is suggested for my household and my job? Oh p.s. I’m going to get rid of one of the cell phones, it will be 3 cells & 1 tablet!
This video may help you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3w8LnMHAnJw.html Really depends on the network you like. I'm wondering if US Mobile may be a good fit for you -- it uses Verizon's network.
I've got straight talk my wife has Q link. She gets throttled about 5 days into her monthly unlimited everything each month which makes her phone useless/ I get great coverage and all but saw boost offering $25 per line with November 1/2 off. Do you think its better to switch to boost to get faster data speeds? How hard is it to change plans?
Michael, Thanks so much for the great video. My question is: How can I find out whether a phone plan will work with an Apple Watch. I currently have an Apple iphone 6s plus with Verizon as my provider. I do not currently have an Apple Watch. I want to get a new iphone and an Apple Watch. Also how much data does an Apple Watch use? Thanks a bunch for your answers.
It doesn’t matter what company or plan we use. There doesn’t seem to be enough towers in my area, and we seem to be in a hole. So data streaming speed sucks no matter what they promise.
There are a few rural spots where none of the three providers work. The only option out in very remote areas is satellite. The only good satellite provider is Starlink, but you're going to pay a lot for it. Currently $120/mo, but it is very fast and reliable.
@@MichaelSaves will do! Me and parents going Wednesday!! My Verizon employee discount did wonders! But now with brand new phone and no discount It's way too rich for my blood, especially after watching videos like yours!
Thanks Michael, it was because of your videos I got a great phone (Motorola G) and a great plan with Mint. 15 dollars a month which includes taxes and fees (you just have to pay months in advance) and includes 4gb data which I have yet to use even half of every month, I just wish we could roll it over. I just don't get why people are paying 1000 for a phone, I don't know what I'm missing out on. 🙂
You're not missing out on much if you don't do a ton of things on your phone. Even budget phones in 2024 are solid for the most part. Personally I'm one of those people spending 1k every 4 years or so, but I'm 28 and I work in tech and just generally enjoy these things.
I pay premium prices bc 1. I don’t want to worry about data. 2. I don’t want to be restricted to WIFI. 3. If I have any changes or issues with my phone, I want to I walk into a store and hand a technician my phone.
