Currently bouncing around between Spotty and RU-vid Music. Spotify has the features and the music and YTM is just…free (because of YT Premium). Tbh I used to be a HUGE FAN of Google Play Music when that was a thing but now it’s just a distant memory… RIP
After testing on my iPhone of both the quality difference seems close. Apple Music use to sound a little louder on headphones, car, etc and now Spotify does for some reason (years later)still wish they released Spotify HiFi
I've been using Apple Music for almost 6 years now and I love it. I've also used Spotify for sometime alongside Apple Music but I found that I like Apple Music more cause of it's integration with iMessage and a lot of my friends are on Apple Music. I do like the shared playlist feature of Spotify. Both of them are amazing TBH.
and the fact how you just need to press on the + button and its already in your library with out having to make a playlist... All I have to do is go to the home menu press on my songs and press shuffle

i recommend using songshift and shifting all your playlists to spotify BEFORE u unsubscribe from apple! i remember i forgot to do that and my biggest playlist disappeared and i got so mad😭💔
The thing i loved most about Spotify was the recommended playlist. I always used to found new things to listen to ! I discovered a lot of artists i still listen to today thanks to that feature. Not so much on Apple Music. The recommendations rarely hit. But since i'm an Apple TV and Apple Arcade user, it's cheaper for me to use Apple Music through Apple One... For the price of my old Spotify premium subscription i get TV, Arcade, Music and some iCloud storage.... It's a no brainer. If some day i find no value in other Apple services anymore, i'll probably switch back...
Spotify Connect is what I really love (Idk if the iPhone and mac have something the same), a lot of social functions, but Apple is really good at UI and synthesis with the whole system
I'm a Spotify user that owns all Apple products. Spotify Connect alone blows Apple Music's integration across its devices out of the water. I had both for a while but Spotify just works a lot more seamlessly.
I use Apple Music because I love things like the higher audio quality, UI, and also iMessage integration (US here!), but every year when the Spotify Wrapped comes out I feel a bit bummed. Apple Music does something similar with their Replay, but it feels a lot less social and meant to share with friends and more analytical, which is cool but I want to be able to share the fun aspects too. It's a tough call for sure

I’m loving music but i also care about artists and there worth $$$ but at the same time Spotify has good algorithm, and love that most artists also use Spotify ! up to this day I’m still testing and trying to decide what to stay with permanently! One feature that got me hooked on AM is Spatial Audio. Some albums is way mooore better and dynamic with better sound separation. Not to mention Album recommendation if you into albums which in my opinion is better than spotify (although track recommendation spotify still rocks)
I'm probably just gonna use both, I've used Spotify for years on and off and don't really bother paying for it since I'm not a heavy listener, but I just made a switch to iPhone and Apple Music wants to give me a free 6 month trial and I'm digging it so far. Only big issue I'm having is it doesn't seem to work as good on my PC as Spotify does so it's more contained to the phone.
I'm a apple music user I started my proper music streaming on Spotify but I switched I sometimes think about switching back to Spotify but the layout is very confusing especially when I wanna try and listen to a full project

I was trying out Apple Music for a couple months after being on Spotify for as long as I can remember streaming music. I recently switched back to Spotify because of the social playlists and better integration with PCs.
i used to use spotify 2014-2016 and then i think 2016/2017 i started using apple music. having lyrics was a dealbreaker but even though they have lyrics in spotify now, the no main library would drive me crazy!! i prefer the ui of apple music too, although i admit the social tab is much better on spotify
Apple Music does generally pay more per stream but that's only because lots of Spotify users are on the free plan. If you use Spotify Premium, artists will make about the same per stream as they would from Apple Music. Also as an artist myself I can say spotify promotes your music no joke over 100x more than apple music does when it comes to discover weekly, radio stations, n stuff.
I used iTunes extensively when that was in it's prime, but now I stick firmly to Spotify. While the Apple Music UI, UX, and Apple Ecosystem integration is better in my opinion, Spotify is far more compatible when switching devices and has a far superior desktop app. I also really like the social aspect that Spotify does much better (listening activity, Spotify Wrapped, etc), plus I get Spotify Premium for free with my family so there's really no reason to switch haha.
Couple of years ago i switched back to AM. Theres just something about spotify i dont like. One thing i like about AM is the radio stations and also using it on my Apple watch with air pods. Im really happy with AM no plans on switching back to spotify
I chose Apple Music for that integration for sure, but I also listen to a lot of foreign music and it seems like Apple Music has a larger library of songs in general (and a few songs were on Apple Music but not Spotify for me), so that made me stick with it! I would love better playlist sharing and a better algorithm for song recommendations, but here where I live, most of my friends have Apple Music anyway, so nothing is forcing me to switch (but I do wish we could share playlist easier, since it just feels like you listen to music in your own then send links to each other, rather than just over a playlist).
The negative I only have with Apple Music is it’s algorithm. Spotify is better than this by miles. But I love Apple Music for its great audio quality, although tbh not all songs in Spatial Audio sound good. If you don’t really care about that then it’s okay. Apple Music also has really cool playlist covers, they also have exclusives that you will not find on Spotify, Apple Music radio, etc.
yeah, as an apple music user, I really hate missing out on wrapped and those sessions where can add songs to the queue in real time. I also hate that they increased the price but I did hop on an apple one plan with my family so that should help. What's keeping me is honestly the ecosystem because I have mostly apple products and Dolby atmos.
i used both of em but today i switched to spotify because of the cross platform support which matters to me btw i genuinely liked the lossless audio on apple music
I largely prefer Apple Music. It isn’t perfect (the desktop apps suck), but I think aac sounds noticeably better than ogg, and I just won’t give up having my ancient music library dating back to like 2003 fully synced across all my devices. I also find Spotify’s organization pretty confusing, as it seems more structured around searching and playlists than personal library curation. That’s just a difference in philosophy, which is fine. But, throw in all the podcast clutter, with no real way to turn it off or make it go away, and that gets annoying. Really, the main force that’s made me consider Spotify a few times has always been that most people I know use it, and Apple Music can feel less social as a result. My solution: Just have a free Spotify account for playlist sharing. Playlists I make myself and share are usually roughly 80-90 minutes, so making a Spotify version to share with someone isn’t a big deal.
I currently am subscribed to Apple Music. But every six months or so I bounce back to Spotify but I really don't want to. I like Spotify for the social aspect, but I also like that it has podcasts as well. I listen to a lot of podcasts so it was always nice to use just one app. I also like the end of year stuff that Spotify does. For Apple Music I love the quality and the ability to stream my local music. I wish Apple Music would just incorporate Apple Podcasts. I also wish that it would sync across devices like when I am in the car and listening to music I would love to be able to resume on the PC. And maybe it is like that on MacOS. So if Apple would just incorporate those two things I would be perfectly content.
I use Apple Music. Same reasons really, I use all apple products so it makes sense. I tried to use Spotify but I just don’t enjoy it. I don’t find it very user friendly either , I might give it another try because I am trying to cut back on some monthly expenses
Been on Spotify since 2014, recently switched to AM. If Spotify will simplify their UI and release Spotify HiFi i’ll be back in a heartbeat. Here’s my Pros and Cons Apple: Best UI, best audio quality, terrible search, terrible community playlist, no native app for PC, wack share music to IG stories sticker. Spotify: Wack UI, mid audio quality, best search, best in recommendations, best playlist, best in compatibility can be played almost in every device (tv’s, playstation, alexa…)
The music audio quality is better on Apple Music even with default settings and normal earphones, you can tell the difference. The social aspect isn’t important to me.
Do a blind test. I did between tidal deezer apple yt music, Spotify and found Apple Music on an apple device sounded the best. Which sucks because apple is a terrible company, but the results were Apple wins
Spotify. However One should innovate like after lyrics, they should have an instrumental option of the song. Kinda like karaoke. That would be a deal breaker. Especially if it can stream in your tv as well.

I'm quitting from Spotify to Apple Music just because the Spotify Canvas feature got removed my account. I tried to contact their support a few times and they don't know what to do. It's silly, but I won't pay full price for a service that I'm not able to fully use. I'll miss Spotify exclusive podcasts, tho
If you’re in the Apple ecosystem then Apple Music is the best. Even songs that aren’t on Apple Music that you downloaded from elsewhere are synced with the cloud and can be played from Apple Music The integration with other apps, Siri, etc and it being a first party app makes it a no brainer The only reason I think Spotify is better is because of its algorithm for finding and recommending songs you like. I can leave Spotify for years and it will still recommend music I like Sticking with Apple Music though
i use spotify cause i’m used to it, my parents pay for it and i have a samsung phone right now, i might consider switching when i get my iphone but knowing me i’ll just stay with spotify
@@RoseQuartz692 (this is quite long sorry, just wanted to go into a bit of detail about my experience) i’ve had so much samsung stuff die on me (i take good care of my stuff mind you) yet never had an apple product of mine die. i have an ipad that gets heavily used, dropped ect, it’s completely fine, whereas i had a samsung watch and it broke at 1 year and 18 days old. $450 for it to last a year. it wasn’t just my watch that died as well, a family friends one broke out of the blue as well. not just my watch that had issues either, my phone has SEVERE screen issues like constant flickering and yellow spots and my galaxy buds’ mic stopped working out of the blue. so, suffice to say, my experience with android/samsung was FAR from good, hence why i’m switching to apple
I have been using Apple Music but I noticed the Mac Am can be very unreliable sometimes. I recently switched to RU-vid premium, student is £6.99. for yt and yt music premium. just unbeatable I feel like I have been scammed by apple because I have and all others that use Apple Music

Most of all I don't understand why Apple can't just add a button to download all my songs... so strange (in Spotify it's done so simply). Anyway I'm waiting for Apple Music to appear on Windows to see if it's worth staying with this shit
The thing with Apple Music is that they are a music player with extra features. and Spotify is more of a social network for people who listen to music. and that's why I love Apple Music.
I started with audiomack cause there was a free version and I was in high school and had no money….used audiomack till my first year of uni cause I didn’t know that Apple Music could work on an android until I saw my friend using it on hers and they had a cheap student plan and 3 months free so it was a no brainer and Spotify wasn’t even available in my country till my second year in uni (2021) I’m Nigerian
Spotify is more of a social media app now days i also like to share songs with friends so i use it but I'll probably pick Apple Music anyday over Spotify. Also excited for the new update on Apple Music.
You can listen to your Apple music in multiple devices at the same time, Spotify doesn't allow you to do that, so for that reason I think apple music is better.
