There normally is an announcement via speaker in the train, which part of the train goes to which location. But I agree it is confusing and you can easily miss it. Öschinenensee is one of the most beautiful locations in Switzerland, but very overrun in high season.

Bloody Hell Paddy, the views are just jaw dropping. Really feel I need to visit Switzerland. I've been to the Canadian Rockies, and it really reminds me of them. Switzerland is a little closer to the UK than Canada. Great editing on the whole of this series so far. Been really enjoying it.

It’s great to join you once again on your journey through Switzerland. I’ll be in Switzerland for only 4 days and will begin in Lugano, followed by a panoramic train ride and steamboat to Lucerne, 1 day in Lucerne, then 2 days exploring Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and the areas around there by car, and finally making my way to Zurich for an overnight stay before flying home. All of this will be preceded by 4 days in Paris (including 1 day in Versailles), 2 days in Rome, 1.5 days in Venice, 1 day in Milan, and 1 day trip to Lake Como. Needless to say I’ll be a busy guy. I’m traveling with my Thai wife.

I used to really enjoy Paddy's videos, but the last couple series, including Switzerland, have included TOO MUCH COMPLAINING. Whine, whine, whine... Some friends and I created a drinking game that requires us to take a drink every time Paddy complains about something. It used to involve us taking a shot each time, but as the videos included more and more whining, taking a shot got to be too much. So now, it's a drink for every whine. What happened to the Paddy from Thailand and Vietnam and Cambodia? The guy who used to focus on the views and not on his own face? Oh? There's an avalanche on the Swiss Alps? Let's see Paddy's reaction to it rather than the avalanche! Put the camera on your chest or your shoulder or something and just go. We're along for the trip to see what you're seeing... not to see your face for 75% of the video.

Yes, stunning & no crowds up at Lake Oeschinensee. Plus they seem to have benches at all the right spots. Do be careful taking trains, they seem to split trains a lot. Happened to me several times going to Prague, Amsterdam. Lucky I was always in the right half. At least the "crowds" at the last little lake seemed nice & well behaved. If only it was that way here in the USA where they are loud & obnoxious.

I wish we had watched this before we went! We made exactly the same mistake at Spiez station last month. Later, we realized that you have to pay attention to not only the platform number but also the section AB or CD of the platform. It was clearly displayed in the bulletin board. We just didn't notice.

This is GORGEOUS. I really want to visit this spot when we visit in October. I have a bad back and use a walker. Is there any way that I could get to this lake? I walk two miles a day with my walker. By the time I get there I should be up to two miles.

I did some research and discovered that it is possible to take public transport to within a 20 minute walk of the lake and there is also a bus that can take you instead of the twenty minute walk. So I WILL be able to go. I am so excited!

I"ve really been enjoying this series, the scenery is just amazing and you capture it all so well. Every place you go seems to top the next. Definitely going to have to make it to Switzerland. @@craig9563 usually not yet although it sometimes can be (especially end of September/beginning of October). But we have very mild winters lately so it usually doesn't snow before December. Make also sure that the cable cars you want to take are still running when you come: usually they're closed from end of October to November due to service works.

I really understand where your frustration about the swiss people not telling you shit is coming from hahaha but as a local i know that many people here are just kind of „fed up“ with all the tourists especially when their manners don‘t equal ours. Swiss people really like their tidyness and their routines and sometimes aren‘t very open or motivated to put up with foreigners who don‘t have a clue how things work here (ofc they can‘t know, when they‘re here for the first time). So yeah that‘s smt the touristic side of Switzerland should work on. Also this nearly only relates to the older generations bc they really saw how tourism built up in the last few years and as i said they don‘t want to lose their routines and culture that has been „theirs“ for centuries. As you noticed the three guys you met in your last video are pretty young and that‘s how most of the younger generations are. We grew up with the tourism in our country and appreciate you admiring the nature and culture of Switzerland! :)

The expectation should always include accommodating unexpected happenings. And find the rainbow you may have otherwise missed, so to speak ♥️ we appreciate you showing your honest human reactions! My kids are back home for aug 1st celebration. And they told me it was raining so no firework. When it’s raining it is the best to visit a hot spring ..we have plenty in Switzerland. Just an idea..

We've started a new drinking game based on Paddy's work. Every time he whinges or complains, drink! There have been a few times we had to stop the game in fear of getting too drunk.
