We hiked three trails in Switzerland:
1. Allmendhubel - Mürren (Northface Trail)
2. Mürren - Gimmelwald
3. Männlichen - Kleine Scheidegg (Panorama Trail)
Our son who just turned 4 was able to walk the first two trails, but wasn't able to walk the full 5km of the 3rd trail. We brought a stroller (Babyzen YOYO2) with us in case for the third trail, which helped us carry our son who fell asleep half way through the path. However, the third trail was quite bumpy with lots of pebbles, and quite difficult to push the stroller through some parts of the trail. We would recommend a stroller with larger wheels or a hiking carrier that a parent can wear to carry the toddler.
We hope our video will give you an idea of what hiking is like with kids in Switzerland, and how enjoyable a family vacation to Switzerland can be. We really felt close to nature and felt our son grow in ways that we did not expect.
