FOR REALS, SWITZERLAND!? 😍 Continue watching our journey in Switzerland as we leave our campsite in Grindelwald to spend one more night camping next to Oeschinen Lake! But before we get there, we make a random stop at Lake Thun that turns out to be one of our favorite (& most beautiful) memories in Switzerland!
To find the swimming area with a diving board at Lake Thun type in "Seebad Lido Krattigen" in Google Maps. It's right next to the pizza restaurant, "Lido da Elio," ENJOY & definitely let us know in the comments below if you end up going! :)

• 4 DAYS CAMPING & HIKIN...
After 5 years we are FINALLY back in Switzerland! :) After setting up camp we took a train from Lauterbrunnen up to the Wengen to see the best view in all the Swiss alps! While there, we get serenaded by our two year old-gosh, she's the best! Over the next couple days we hike 14 miles and unfortunately get sunburnt and super sore, but we find the coolest playground, experience the famous cliff walk, & fall even more in love with Switzerland!

Oeschinensee is still beautiful in the clouds! I did the entire panorama loop trail back in May and the cliffs were epic and intense. Loving y'alls videos!!!

@@mickey23052 Dagobert Duck heißt auch nicht Dagobert Duck, sondern Scrooge McDuck (Scrooge nach Ebenerzer Scrooge, dem Geizhals aus der Weihnachtsgeschichte, der den Geist der vergangenen, jetzigen und zukünftigen Weihnacht trifft). Im Englischen Original leben die übrigens in Ducktown. ^^

When you are again in that area try the Burgseeli in Ringenberg at the lake Brienz to go swimming its also a very nice spot. Ringenberg is the first village when you leave Interlaken heading towards Brienz on the left side of the lake Brienz coming from Interlaken.

Beautiful views, makes me want to grab a backpack and explore the area! I‘m guessing you both are in your mid twenties? About 10 years ago I spent a year abroad in Cache valley, UT with a wonderful LDS host family and you guys remind me of my host siblings a lot!

I'm originally from Germany but have lived in Florida for almost 40 years. Missing the mountains for sure! I'm planning to travel to the Alps during my next Germany trip. As a kid I've seen many beautiful places in the Alps, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. My parents took us 4 kids on camping trips. Wonderful memories! Keep up the good work with your videos!

omgosh you found my lake! The one I told you about that I couldn't find on Google Maps. It must be a secret lake. And you got to hear the cow bells, wow. This was my first trip to Europe, 2005, before I'd met my future German husband. I met someone online who lives in Bern and she took me to this lake and carried all our food up the mountain and then we ate it looking at the lake. I'll never forget that experience, and I guess someday I'll have to bring my husband there to see this special spot. I'm so happy for you guys!

This was great, guys! I‘m thinking (pretty certain) of getting a campervan, and I loved seeing the campsite, too. We were at the Thunsee for work and yes, shockingly expensive. The hotel and a take-away pizza, which we ate on a bench at that beautiful lake. I wonder if I‘ll have the guts to swim in one of those cold lakes, too?! The way Willa talks shows what lovely parents you are.

@@OurStorytoTell yes, I‘ve wanted to do it (a camper van) for years, and seeing you guys, out and about, I just want to jump in one and go, even just for a couple of nights. You just get stuck right in to the experience, it’s very inspiring. I’m trying out a rental later this Summer, and if it’s for us, we’ll do a self-build, so I can afford a pitch in Switzerland lol! Give Willa an extra cuddle today for all the smiles she brings to people all over Germany xxx

Nice video again. Seems your brain hasnt been filled up yet with all the wonderfull nature things to discover. Sure, tenting is a way back to the roots and make fun especialy for young kids when weather is nice. May be in future for you a combination of tenting and sleeping in a van in case of bad conditions is even more cheaper than a hotel and you will be more flexible. Saw vids of assembling a dodge ram for such. Investments will be very high in case you cant do by yourself but I pays out later as well. Similar you did already on island. Its a pitty that Willa will not remember where she already has been but you keep the vids anyway. Btw, once I mentioned to you the town and overnight stay in Rauris a town with a lot of hiking options and lots to discover around.

Camping is MUCH cheaper then hotels. You can even Camp at the lake of Zurich. Basically downtown.

I fully agree. Switzerland is nice but expensive. I got a ticket for speeding 😄 last year - it was 90 Euro for just 9 km/h too fast. Since you were in Switzerland, you were actually correct with ss, but in Germany it would be "heiß". My guessing is 28, 29. Thanks for the nice video.

Switzerland is beautiful, but if you go there you have to be prepared for high prices in every aspect. If you accept it, you have a good time in Europe's paradise. Only the countless speed controls are excessive in my opinion. Very nice to see that you had a good time in Switzerland. Nice video

Yes that’s true! We saved a lot by camping, hiking & mostly just eating our packed food, but still ended up paying a decent amount in cable car costs!

@@OurStorytoTell Let me quickly respond back. Looks wise I wanted to guess 20's. However, I am so impressed with how put together, wise and mature you two are that I guessed your ages higher. I'm so glad you two are having these wonderful life experiences at a young age.
