On the cutterpillar swivel cutting mat, is there a lip around the edge? I am looking for a mat that rotates without interference from an edge when cutting with larger templates. Now that you've been using it for a while, does the edge restrict using larger templates?
Hi Debbie. I honestly haven't used it with larger rulers, but I went up and looked at it and I don't think that the lip would interfere. It seems like the mat is taller than the lip. I am sure that you could call them and confirm this..... Let me know how it goes!!!
@@FrancesQuilts I received the swivel cutting mat and it works perfectly with large rulers and templates that hang off the edge. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with is that it doesn't spin as freely as it shows in your video. Because of the rubber grips on the bottom, any weight on the mat will push it down and restrict the spin motion .
@@debbiemurphy5050 I am so sorry Debbie. I hadn't thought about that being a problem with larger rulers!! I had only used the small square-up rulers with it. I do know that it needs to be completely flat to spin easily. I hope that you are able to enjoy it. Thanks for letting me know!!
