You sure have a rather neat and tidy shop, impressive! I wish my shop area was that nice, perhaps if I got off my backside it could be 😊 great video, I've rather enjoyed watching you create things.
Thanks 👍 for the comment it's much appreciated. My workshop is cramped for space, so I have to keep it tidy. Do a general tidy up at the end of each day. Cheers Nobby
Excellent video Nobby. I love the concept. I can see how this could be very useful when machining castings with the normal draft angles on them. I am about to set up the apron of one of my lathes on the mill table and something using this concept would be great to use between the jack screws and the casting with of course strap clamps from the top side. I always find your videos of excellent quality and very educational. Keep making them and I will keep watching them. Dean is a great channel also. I try not to miss any of his "Shaper Monday "videos. Dean just seems to be a really nice person as so are you. Thanks as always for bringing us along.
Skimmed to the end Nobby. It actually looked like the jaw was actually touching the double parallels and not the tapered part. You actually need to be careful if you wanter to machine the tapered part as any end pressure could cause the part to pop out of the vice. Really need an end stop, at the big end. Good to see you in the workshop again. Regards from Australia.
I did notice that as well David when I checked the video. Will have to be careful when I use it for real. Good idea on the vice stop, I'll definitely do that. The weather is nice now, so I'm in the workshop most days. ATB Nobby
Thanks for looking 😊 Clothes pegs are an old term. Originally made from wood, and made in a fork shape to push down over the garment on a washing line. Early ones hand made, and sold by gipsy folk. Sadly all made of plastic now. Cheers Nobby
Hi Michel. The one you made sounds very interesting. Did you make a video on it? I'd love to see how it works. I hope my one will be useful one day. Cheers Nobby
