vel mula This comment just took me back to when Ryan Leslie’s MacBook got stolen. That shit was heartbreaking to hear. He was on his way to being one of the best producers.
it's hilarious how Swizz always respond to Tim like he about to drop something epic...then he drop that same 1998 boom bap beat that you can do with your mouth lol
This battle is symbolic, timberlands beats are complex, intelligent, melodic make you question shit. Swiss beats are street, hood, energetic brings that beast out you. Now just imagine if they put all those elements together.
1. tim's beats were full and melodic 2. swizz tracks still sound like he's waiting for a Lox feature 3. the girls in the background are moving. when you got the ladies rockin' with you, it's over. the dudes will follow.
Jayce Gilbert I'm a producer. If women like it, dudes will like it because they will follow. Only a rare group of women like the boom bap. Most need a melody, something to sing along with. Swizz in the basement producing for dudes. Tim in the light making women spend money.
cee dub exactly man that it u gotta appeal to the ladies swizz track coming straight off the Mpc no pressence or story smh sad part is although it's a battle timbs tracks arranged and ready to go to highest bidder lmao
hell yeah. remember in fade to black, he pulled dirt off your shoulder out the box and it was ready for recording. swizz tracks sound like the beginning of an idea, not a complete thought.
I started producing music because of Swizz, I was waaay into the whole Ruff Ryders team and still got the "R" on my whip, but I know in my soul that Timbo is leagues beyond him. Swizz fell off a long time ago and just keeps making the same style shit he did when he peaked in '98. Timbo has continually kept it fresh, reinventing himself but still always being true to himself. You can always tell a Timbaland beat. You can always tell a Swizz beat too, but that's not always a good thing especially in the last 15 years. Not hating at all, just stating the facts.
Timbaland is literally my idol, the one and only producer I looked up too... I grew up listening to all his classics, the way every of his beats was so unique, the amount of details, since the Aaliyah/Missy Ellliot era... I ended up making beats like him, even though I still got a lot to learn. Thanks legend. 🙏
Swiss Beats sound is more NY hardcore gutter which i prefer. Timberland beats are in a different lane. Both are great beat makers depends on what you are wanting for a particular song. They are both winning .
Who won? Both honestly: Reasons- Timbo was playing beats that were already made and just hit play. Swizz was making beats on the spot. For what they do, both were phenomenal. I respect both Timbo's ability to paint the Mona Lisa, But I also respect Swizz's ability to Bob Ross a beat and work out something awesome while just fucking around.
Timbo got it. Swizz compared to Tim is too predictable. Tim showed his versatility. It's like a slam dunk competition; no one votes for the guy that does the same dunk in all the rounds. But Timmy's last beat tho!
Yeah, Timbo last beat with the Jay-Z sample was wicked! But if you over the age of 30, you GOTTA be feeling Swizz second beat. That had that classic Hip Hop feel ALL over it!
@@eagle1ra79 Dre ain;t shit and dont even make most of his beats i can't speak on Jay dillah cuz i don't know his catalog (which makes a point in itself) and come on man, timbo has been poppin his whole career startin with Aaliyah in what 94 '95? Scott storch's first hit with his name on it wasn't until might've been let Me Blow Your mind with Eve and Gwen Stefani but that wasn't a hit hit and that was like 99. he didn't gain his name til like fat joe lean back and chris brown Run it... any of the other beats Scott storch made prior people didn't even realize he made and the older ones with Dr dre had Dre's name on it...dont't EVER copmpare Scott Storch to Timbo the King. and i love Scott Storch as well
Honestly its just dope to see two hip hop giants still have so much passion in their craft.... This shit is filthy. Wish they did more shit like this. Has an old school hip hop vibe to it... Much needed... Both had beats I was wishing Jay or Jada was on...
It appeared he triggered a few samples and switched some sequence patterns, i wouldnt say he did the beats on the spot. That beinf said he is dope... Tim on another level tho, imo
Timbaland 1. Headsprung 2. Jeezy 3AM 3. Im so Fly 4.Roll Out 5. Put you on game 6. The Jump 7. Dirt of shoulders, Big Pimpin, Is that yo chick, Tom Ford, 8. Raise Up 9. Drunk in Love 10. Are We cuttin it 11. I can go on lol Ridiculous arsenal
Both of them are legendary. You really can't compare the two. They're in different lanes. Timbo has his own sound. As soon as it comes on you know it's a Timbo beat.
Yall from VA who do yall got in Timbaland vs Pharrell Beat Battle??? I saw in an interview where Timbaland said, When he was doing Missy 2nd album, Pharrell would be in another room at the same studio doing his shit for Kelis, Nore, and Clipse...they been battling since. I still don't know who I would go with
If this was a actual DJ battle on a big sound system... everything would be done after that last Swiss beat. Thats pure agression. That second drop = battle done.
I wouldn't say he wins but you are right when you said he makes beats for gangstas. It's more street oriented but can be played at a club as opposed to Timbaland who has more variety and mostly oriented towards club bangers in my opinion for the women.
Greatest producers with Dre and NERD and Missy of course! Swizz changed the game with the hardest east coast beats ever. Timbo is a creative guru that can make anything a hit sound. Love them both.
No disrespect to swiss or swiss fans but as a Musician, Music Producer and an overall fan of music period swiss beats lost from the start. He tries to win it with his energy . He always starts with an epic intro or something thats gonna get you hype then he hits you with that boom...bap..bap..boombap pattern then tries to disguise it with different drum sounds and in some cases he doesn't even care and uses the exact same drum sounds and pattern
These newer producers like Mike Will Made It, London On Da Track, and Murder Beats are good, but I still prefer golden era hip-hop producers like Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.
Someone....anyone.....Birds...dogs.......like...anyone... Please....for the love of my son.... Where can I hear that final Timbaland beat....like please...no joke.....That's not even art....that's just poetry in motion.
@@avewave6944 Pharrell is a good producer but he often uses a couple of signatures that make his beats too recognizable: 1) A four count beat to start off the song. 2) Snare drums to establish tempo. Timbaland’s beats have no signature and aren’t as easily identifiable as Pharrell’s. Here are some examples: - Ayo Technology (50 Cent) - Get Your Freak On (Missy Elliott) - Strawberry Bubblegum (Justin Timberlake) - Do You Remember (Ginuwine) - True Blood (Justin Timberlake) - Roll Out (Ludacris) - Hot Boyz (Missy Elliott) Those beats are amazing, yet none of them sound the same in any way. They are all unique.
