There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Nightwish official videos. They are great! But the Nightwish live concert videos are just so much fantastically better. The fan interaction is just amazing. Troy's contributions to the band are more and more apparent.
Love Marko really going to miss him. His voice and Floors just mesh together into a rich flow of textures that send goose bumps up and down the old back

This is technically no Nightwish song, Tuomas wrote it to a Finnish film "Lieksa" ("The Matriarch") The whole movie is on YT. Someone said Nightwish put this song to the setlist when they performed in Paris France soon after the horrible terrorist attact to a rock club in Paris. Almost 100 people died. Most bands cancelled their concerts in Paris, but not Nightwish.

I am not yet at my "End of All Hope" (NW title) regarding Marco. I wish Tuomas would write some more duets in the future that suits Floor and Marco and I'm hoping that Marco's passion for music will outlast his anger towards the industry behind. He is definetely too young to die but never too old to rock ('n roll ;-). Nightwish will provide him with big audiences , while he could still play smaller, cozy venues with his side projects, as he always did. So no need for him to dump either one when he's going to reactivate himself.
I reviewed your history of Nightwish... 53 year old Fan here from Maryland. Didn't see "Song of Myself" yet, you're missing one of their best in my opinion, you'll love Juka on the drums, you'll get that Metallica "One" vibe.... do the Whaken 2013 version. Their music videos are fine, but nowhere near as powerful/emotional/energized as their live performances. The music video for Nemo, with Tarja…the original singer…is pretty good. Otherwise, I’d stick to their live stuff.

A good music video from them is Bye Bye Beautiful. It’s a song with Annette, the singer prior to Floor. She has more of a pop sound to her vocals, Marco amps it up in the chorus though. Floor is meant to be seen live. It’s the total opposite for Annette.
This song is very soulful and had a beautiful meaning behind it ... Of course , little e-bow magic from Troy brings to this song little sad longing and distant tone . And yes , we all miss Marko , but this is his decision , and I am honoring it Like Tuomas said (Nightwish 25th anniversary interview) about Marko's successor : It was clear from the start that Jukka Koskinen will be replacing Marko Before Marko's replacement was announced, there was intense speculation about who would fill the singing bassist's demanding boots. On virtual gigs Jukka Koskinen played only bass, and the vocal melodies were performed with Floor and multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley. Tuomas confirms that the band will continue with two singers. We are not looking a successor to Marko's unique rock voice. It’s part of the band’s evolution. Well there is only one official video to do that is Bye Bye Beautiful It's an Anette song off of Dark Passion Play and its a really cool video that they did in response of people saying they got Anette for the sex appeal I guess Floor won't do it because of her friendship with Tarja
For the song it took a while until I liked it. The official music video helped with that, because that's just beautiful. The song was written for a movie. The music video shows the plot of the movie.

Only issue was the song wasnt long enough. As soon as Marko opens his mouth total goosebumps, Floors background vocals and Troy on E bow guitar, Kai on drums and Tuomas this is just pure epic, tantalizing, mezmorizoring and it glues you to it every time.
agreed, the combination of Floor, Marco, and Troy's e-bow together was mesmerizing. And if you're in the mood to go on an emotional journey like that you might want to try "The Poet and the Pendulum", it's emotional also but it goes up and down, it goes with the "Master Passion Greed" lyrics you've already played, about the turmoil when Tuomas had to get Tarja go and how he was deeply depressed and decided to exorcise his demons in song rather than real life, I like the version with lyrics so I can see the whole journey, some don't but you won't regret it. Oh, and I got a special one for you Daniel ha Nightwish live Tampa "Sahara" there are some great bass riffs and note-bending by our Marco, bet you'll enjoy that one.
