Laughing in Highlander Fandom... The same country that banned their law enforcement from owning guns and then banned any form of less than lethal self-defense is having problems with any idiot who can buy a sword at a weekend swap meet or just steal it out of the family armoury.
@@Navytron1989 You're not quite right. The UK has banned handguns and assault rifles, but only a small percentage of officers carry guns. In Northern Ireland, all police officers carry firearms, while in the rest of the UK, firearms are only carried by specially-trained firearms officers.

Because in the UK, the regular police do not carry guns. They essentially have to call in special armed units for situations like these. That and the UK police are more interested in cracking down on wrong-think than actually enforcing the law.

Police yelling, "STOP!" "STOP!"... While a CHILD is being hacked at by a man with a SWORD!? And who is recording this?! NO ONE attempts to help save this child from the attacker?! Are there no chairs or things that could have been grabbed and swung at this evil man by multiple people (LIKE THE COPS) for instance? Do the police have not one non-lethal weapon to stop an attack such as this? WHY are the police not prepared for these types of things? I don't mean just sword attacks, but against ANYTHING BEING USED AS A WEAPON? Even more insane than the attack, is the complete useless and pathetic non-response by the police!!!

That was a very perky newscaster. A teenager was murdered by a 36-year-old man. Might want to go back to Broadcast journalism 101 and practice your somber voice in front of your bathroom mirror. This is a horrible day for that young man’s family.
Not ready to go there. Most likely that teenager was 18 or 19 and was involved in gangs and drugs and this was an attack over turf or money. Or that teen had attacked or killed someone else and this was revenge.

Yeah, we get it. We aren't stupid. What IS stupid, though, is to think there won't be more killing if there are more guns. Ever taken a look at the U.S.A. It's not a pretty sight.
Why ban things that are useful? The utility that comes from knives, pencils, forks, and chopsticks far, far outweighs the harm. And cars also, which the other commenter mentioned. It probably WOULD make sense to ban swords, however very few people are killed by swords, so it's almost a non-issue. Assault rifles have ZERO utility to the vast majority of people, so only idiots think those should be legal.
We never want anyone to be injured or worse to be their last day, The dude was arrested, lucky him he wasn't here in the US because he would of been in the black bag.

I don't have a problem with owning swords, but there's absolutely no reason to own an "Asault style" Sword! We need to ban Asault swords. If it was a regular sword, everyone would have been ok. Dang it.
