I really like that Swordsoul "just" puts one negate on the field in under one minute and passes while other decks spend 10 minutes to set up their 5 negates on the board.
1 Omni-negate, 1 Monster-on-field negate, 1 double destruction, maybe 1 more destruction with DPE. It's not as obnoxious as other decks, if you bait the Baronne, they die to 1 Raigeki. The thing is that Swordsoul is very consistent, and all of their monsters are 1-card Synchros, and Chixiao by itself already searches Blackout.

I was waiting for this archetype, but I did not figure out how to play them in a BO1. The default board with Batoness and the level 8 synchro is easy to beat for most decks and high interruptible.
As Swordsoul user irl, i'd say the deck by itself ain't tier 0 materials. Its capability to bring some badass monster like Baronne, or spamming token is what make this deck fun to play. But its endboard and disruption during opp turn still lacking. Aside from Baronne and DPE, you might want to run engine like Tenyi to extend its combo further, or some VW Sync for more control.
@@victorvx106 You can probably run auroradon turbo and turn it into something else. But the main issue in Swordsoul is its inflexibility to be mixed with other good engines due to its Wyrm-type. So as long opp know what kind of deck you running, they can grasp the combo and know the best timing to throw hand trap. The point is it's quite easy to predict Swordsoul combos since it only has limited combination like Tenyi or maybe Yang Zing for now. That's why it lacked element of surprise compared to other combo deck.
i dont know why but, my first swordsoul deck was the tenyi variant, i got the win streak at first but got smacked the day after like 2 lost in a row, then i tried out the DPE variant and it works so well these days, maybe a lot of people think that tenyi variants are now so many in ranked so they dont know this variant.
But for me, i havent know how to summon DPE quick because verte requires 2 effect monster, and our swordsoul main combo was with the token which is a non effect card
@@CrabMD But yeah Ruddy Rose is definitely a good pick for the deck, since it’s on summon banish helps Chengying twofold and can trigger the when banished effects of the Swordsoul spells and traps.
If I were you, I would play Protos Cool combo I Play that deck too, but always, everybody has before my 6 (that is most baroness BUT IT IS THE 6 SUMMON, NOT THE 5!!) NIBIRU!!! I SO MUCH HATE THIS CARD!
well this deck just take the synchro mechanic and throw it out the window. Lmao monster that create tuner out of thin air. After anaconda break fusion, zoodiac break xyz, tri-brigade that break links, drytron break ritual summon, we have fking soulsword that doesn’t need to run tuner. We may get a pendulum deck that doesn’t require scale in the future

@@CrabMD It was bad play. He used droplet when his Chi Xiao still had a negate. He used every negate except Chi xiao first. If he had used chi xiao to negate the ecclesia, he would have baronne to negate the gamma to leave you with no play. Instead he used Baronne… Then he used blackout and chained his own droplet on top of it. AND he still had his own Chi Xiao negate… you don’t even need to use that actually, and you don’t need to negate with droplet, just select Mo ye and driver with blackout so he’s left with 2 tuners, gamma gets banished soon and he’s left with one token. He can chi xiao or chain droplet for the next play with Long Yuan. This was just bad play all around and he could have won it 100%.
Is it just me or does swordsoul seem extremely boring, you just normal summon one monster and suddenly you're plus 2 in card advantage and you have a negate, on top of that the rest of your hand is usually either garnets or handtraps or some extenders to make verte or baronne and that's pretty much it every single game
yea. Maybe. But it least the turn ends after 2 minutes and not 15 like Dryton whitch also set most of the time the same board and don`t let you do anything if you can´t break it. So I prefer Swordsoul as player and opponent
That's just how it is. Swordsoul is ez to play but at most it only has 3 endboard: Chixiao+Baronne, Chixiao+Baronne+DPE, or Chixiao+Baronne+Schyte Lock. You won't get far from those endboards. If you want varieties, play combo deck such as @Ignister (while it's a 1 card combo deck too, the combos can change depend what kind of handtrap opp throw at u, so it's a good deck for polishing ur thinking ability), Infernoble (there's many kind of infernoble deck out there, from hand destruction to total field control with D-Hero Plasma), pendulum magician (no need to explain), and many more Forgot to mention P.U.N.K. also has wide variety of combo, like P.U.N.K. Orchrust, Invoked Merchaba, Branded, etc.
It looks extremely boring here because it's being played badly with suboptimal decks. In real life, a good Swordsoul Tenyi deck and combo to break your opponents entire board is a thing of beauty.
