On the 10/09/2019, my friend was travelling on a SWR Class 455 from Clapham Junction to Worcester Park and discovered that this particular 455 unit had exceptionally loud traction motors. And he decided to capture the hellfire sound of the motors on video on the last leg of his journey from Motspur Park to Worcester Park.

I'm gonna miss these rickety boxes when they're replaced with the 701s. They had comfortable seats, a great livery, and sound lovely.

Reminds me a bit of a Soviet ER2 train, including the bubbling on idle. Such a lovely sound!

Sounds like a 455 I went on, it was alot louder than the rest, not sure if its due to a technical problem at all. But it was very loud for no reason lol, still sounds cool though

I think most of the units are like this, especially when there's a window open. Theyve got really nice motor sounds though

Most of the units I've ridden on are usually quieter than this one I've found, even with the windows open. Absolutely love the motors as well though, they're grand

Nah , the 455s arent this loud , I've been on one like this , heck it could be the very same one I went on. But it's like the motor has some sort problem where its alot louder than the others. Like unnecessarily loud. Although it still sounds cool
