For this one I can sum it up for Lea in a few words: Scend ain’t Gackt. IMO Scend is the more impressive Ness, he just hasn’t had as many offline appearances to show it, I think he’ll do really well this tourney. A pool of Lea, Spargo, and Marss is gonna serve him well, all bringing tough matchups for ness
I don't think BN hasn't had enough offline appearances (port priority, Riptide, Lowtide, Mainstage, just to name a few), and he hasn't had optimal results. So the title of "best Ness" has yet to be decided. IMO, who really may be the "best Ness" and who hasn't had enough appearances because of sponsorship is ATATA. Edit: I wrote "online" instead of "offline".
@@alonsoquijano6749 right right, he has gone and competed quite a bit recently, and I definitely enjoy watching ATATA play and wished he competed more outside of his region. I think BN has had a lot of credible results online, I say “credible” because even though we’re talking offline and many say Ness is better online, he still made many deep tournament runs and had constant run-ins with the best players that dominate offline currently. Taking all the best ness players in a pot at a major/super major, the one I would bet on getting the furthest would be BN, and I’d say given multiple events, he’d have the best finishes.
Game 1 Lea relied on a lot of dashbacks, it didn't matter in the end because Scend was able to snowball momentum, but not adapting to the dashbacks at first allowed him to take game 1. Impressive to gain so much momentum after losing the first game.
It looks to me like Greninja was holding back its player more than any lack of skill. I had always wondered why people don’t use it and it seems like it’s just too weak.
