The combos Terry and the other shotos don't extend past a certain point for any character. He wouldn't be doing any less against someone smaller than he does Bowser, so Bowsers big body in this case is a disadvantage to Terry, he lives an extra 40-100% longer than everyone else

Most bowser players seem to think the matchup is even or better for him and Leon has the shotos at +2 on his. Don’t take matchups at face value, especially from something so theoretical as “he has good combos”. These combos are quite special and don’t apply the same

How? Leon tries to fake Riddles out by scaring him with the threat of an up air to force him onto the platform where he would command grab him, but guesses incorrectly as Riddles drifts in the opposite direction. Upon landing they both preemptively pick options that are meant to evade their respective burst counterattacks. Leon up smashes because he presumably assumes Riddles will attempt to nair on top of him and start a combo whereas Riddles thinks Leon will rush at him and attempts to roll so he can punish whatever dash option he thinks Leon would have chosen. Because Riddles’s roll has less endlag than Leon’s up smash, he was able to react and reassess the situation first, and attempted to apply shield pressure and get a confirm while Leon was still in endlag. He d tilts once, and I’m not sure why he didn’t go for the typical shield pressure jab dtilt mixups that would have either hit, shield poked, or shield broken leon, but he must have panicked after his fluke and goes for a nuclear option, Buster Wolf, out of anxiety. Leon, likely being unfamiliar with the mechanics of and frame dat buster wolf on shield(it’s incredibly laggy against shield, Bowser definitely can fsmash) , likely thought that either it had little endlag and he’d have to punish the option after the move, which he assumed to be roll, or he thought it would cross him up.

This whole match was mashfest. This is, I think, the worst gameplay I have ever seen coming from a couple of top players.

@@martinluther123 it can't be because some characters like palutena can't even have a good game to begin with. Some character are worse when played intelligennt against other characters beeing played brain dead. Palutena, Lucina are some examples. These poor Heavys really don't deserve your hate their. Eventho the last stock was pure mashing.

This is just online in a nutshell. You can see where the input delay screwed both them over (Leon flubbing a kill game 1 and Riddles straight up just not recovering game 2)

I think Leon's bowser is about as optimized as it can possibly be, but Riddles is nowhere near an optimized Terry. It was very clear he gets hard carried by Go.

Riddles easily would win

Leon is the smartest side special user I've ever seen, he's so good at mixing it up between aerials and that to catch them off guard. Most other bowser either spam side b a lot or barely use it unless you badly whiff an attack on them.

Cant knock Leon because he’s a great player but I usually don’t enjoy watching sets he wins. Nothing against him but winning bowser is often what you said: up special oos and side b constantly to punish over shielding or mix up pressure. Not fun to watch. But the sets he loses tend to be more interesting just because bowser is so easy to combo, top players can do wild stuff against him

Well, Imagine I was playing as Bowser one day and I used F-smash to hit terry only to be stopped by Terry's F-tilt. Both character's did the on-hit struggle animation, but Bowser took way longer to recover from that animation and Terry comboed me free. Terry is stupif

@@Yokai_Yuri Terry f-tilt does make his leg invincible Basically a sword And when it clangs with things, terry can pretty much just act faster

Like terry who dies consistently from 140% to 180% in most games

@@Yokai_Yuri Maybe from a kill throw/grab. But for edge guarding and 2 framing he can die really early. Plus theres reads and kill confirms just like everyone else
