@@xzxxx-km4vy I only play the story content and flashpoints an I've been having a blast. If you want to do raids and get the highest level gear you need to sub. Everything else you can do f2p. If it's not for you that is fine. I've only paid for a 1 month sub 1 time and got so much content that I get to keep. You only need to sub for 1 month when they release new story content. If you want to do raids you have to keep being a sub.
@@MarineCARMINE Yeah i read that we get to keep everything and only need to sub again if they release new content thats pretty impressive, i will give this game a try once i'm done with KOTOR 1 and 2 i just started those games
Even back in the older days I remember really liking the stories of my Bounty Hunter and Sorcerer. After this video I'm almost in the mind to start again.
Honestly I played SWTOR several years ago and I did enjoy my time with the gameplay and I really liked the story and how much it allows you to feel like your own character in the world. Due real life reasons (and my PC completely breaking down) it fell to the wayside for years for no real singular concrete reason. This guide has piqued my interest and it might be time to pick it up again.
Swtor is great. It has its issues, sometimes I feel like it’s clunky with no addons, but I’ve been coming back to it for years. As someone who hasn’t consistently kept up with it, it’s always very nice to come back and see what’s changed and improvements they made. It feels extremely different now than it did 8 years ago when I started. I’ve always enjoyed the story and voice acted quests in the game. Definitely makes it more immersive.
I have to admit that I was on the fence about trying out another MMO, but then I saw your other video and just gave it a shot. One week later, I subscribed. And by now, I have completed all my class story lines and am going through Knights of the Fallen Empire. And I have General Chat turned off. It's better this way.
Hey! Remember when our favorite Sith Lord used to played this game? Yeaaah. Those were solid days. Now im looking at the active members in Barq's Root Beer, and i can only see myself and a ½ other person :(
This game has everything that WoW is missing. The story and character involvement is amazing. I don't feel like 'champion' from azeroth, I feel like 'Ham Slammer' the Jedi consular sentinel.
I just started playing this week, and I'm loving this game. I had no idea my PC would be voiced. The first time she spoke my mouth fell open lol. I've got over 800 hours in ESO, and I wish they would implement a voice for the PC. It's so much more immersive.
It's like coming back to an old good friend you haven't seen for 10 years.. so many have happened and changed to both of you, you both don't recognize eachother anymore, but share the memories of wonderful times.
I just started yesterday and I have no goddamn idea what I'm doing. I was just doing missions, but now I'm at the fleet and I'm so overwhelmed with all this stuff.
SWTOR is super underrated and its because Bioware took most of its team and put it on other games like Anthem and ME Andromeda. That is why the content slowed way down. Dont get me wrong what's there is great but as a vets dont have much to do at end game.. we've done it all. Conquests are a good idea but I hope we get more stories in that universe. There are so many planets and other stories in the Old Republic EU that are untapped. I also hope they bring it to a wider audience by putting it on console its the perfect MMO for consoles in my opinion.
Definitely coming back . I played when it first came out with one friend and stopped 5 months in. I think its time to get back into it. bored with PoE and a few other games.
I feel like I would’ve gotten caught up in this easily if I had gotten into in back in the day. The same way some get lost in WOW. Everything I hear about TOL seems & looks really cool. 😮
The "Don't worry, she likes it" bit at 4:04 is funny because, at least once you've gotten to the end of the romance, she actually DOES I have to say this was a very good video. You don't ignore the issues that the game has, but you also focus on the positives. I think you should have also specifically touched on how, even if the vets will bitch and moan about a lack of content or low quality content, there's still more than 10 years worth for new players to come and experience.
Boy oh boy, I had a blast with this one back when I played from launch up till soon after the shadow of revan expansion. I dunno If I could ever come back to playing a tab target MMO now that I've played Final Fantasy 14. If anyone came up to me and tried to get me to play an MMO, I'd ask them this: "Can I play it with a controller?". If the answer is no, then away all my enthusiasm goes......
Understandable. I had a similar feeling after playing ESO for a while. Idk though, the nostaliga is strong with this one. I keep getting pulled in every now and then just to replay the class stories again :) It's like doing another run of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, or Baldur's Gate 2 for me
I've been playing off and on since it's release. Last time I played was 4 years ago and I just started again. Just realized that I've been getting 100 cartel coins a month the entire time for having a one time password. Definitely a pleasant surprise 😁
I loved SWTOR until I was so level boosted, even with the red crystal, that I could solo group quests, it became less challenging. If this has been corrected, I would be happy to return.
Yeah, but sadly it won't because uberly simplifying gameplay no matter the area is common "development" for many companies 😮💨 RIP companion Npcs since yeaaars ago and more as we know.. 😐
I first played this game when I was 9 years old and now I am revisiting this game 8 years later. I can't wait to play. Thank you so much for this guide
Ok maybe I am a rarity here but I have actually gotten pretty lucky with the loot box system on this game. Darth Malgus Armor, Revan's Armro, and some rare mounts and stuff have all gotten unlocked for me. Also it's good to mention that if you use the swtor encrypted key app they give you monthly free cartel coins as well.
i was into it when it first came out stopped playing and lost my account cant remember any of my info. time to get into the game again thanks for the video
I feel we are diametrically opposed, IBC Cream soda is the beverage for a galaxy far far away. Also to those afraid of leveling and starting out so late, it happens rapidly if anything. If you're weird like me and want a full set of heroic gear within the level limits leveling too fast is a thing. I'd suggest taking your time with the stories first, which offers more opportunities later, then finding specific niches to occupy your time.
Yeah getting fashion in this game can make you go mad with how bad prices are, on top of most of the good ones only being sold on the cash shop. NGL i wanna come back to the game, just to get through a few of the classes i have yet to try.
Came back to Swtor last week after almost a year and I can barely play it anymore, constant lag and stuttering. Fps drops to 40-59 fps. I used to play it without issue on max settings before. I’ve tried so many fixes but to no avail, it sucks since I really like the game..
Omg, I just started playing this game while I wait for 10.1 in wow and now I'm so divided between the 2 games. the story is going sooo good so far. Great video!
Thanks for posting tthat. Although I've been playing off and on for years, I still feel like a noob. Thanks for making me feel like I suck less. Cheers.
I just came back after getting burned out on Dragonflight, and getting irritated by the gatekeeping in Wrath Classic. It's nice to just be able to queue in a dungeon and not have people start arguing with each other because 1 dude isn't doing as much damage as someone else thinks they should. Now if we can just do something about the people who say "spacebar pls" when someone decides to watch the cut scenes in a flashpoint.
It's not necessary, but I'd say new players should prob play KotOR I and II first in order to become familiar with important plot points and characters that will pop up in SWtOR.
Swtor after school was great 10 years ago it started going downhill imo after the hutt expansion but oh god the early days were amazing i hope they make another mmo
i used to play swtot but since 2 months ago when i play on th "PLAY" button, nothing happens. i've tried everything but i can't play anymore and i don't understand why i miss trying to stop the emperor's ascension to immortality
This is the only mmo I have ever maxed anything. I have fifteen. Fifteen. Maxed out characters. I have played through every class story at least twice if not more. Something about this mmo just ignited that star wars fan boy in me.
its my first time, playing the free version, i was confused that there were other people in my game, i still don't know why/how that is happening.. i thought i could just play the campaign solo and privately..
SWTOR is a great single player RPG, but kinda crap MMORPG. Just completing all the class stories solo is the way to enjoy this game. They actually are kinda good. Imagine the mediocre mass effect missions, but doing them for 200 hours. Yea, that's SWTOR. There are some great moments as well, but this is most certainly quantity over quality kind of game when compared to single player Bioware games. I know i made it sound kinda crappy, but i still loved it.
I would really like to....meet....the guy who thought it would be a good idea to age chars for no reason and eliminate crews I grew to enjoy. Never really get them back on your ship even if you skip the eternal failure chapters, but hey, you get that Shan loser so...there's that.
