sorry about the shit quality but this has been ripped from an old vhs.... audio also patchy in places... stay tuned for more out my SWV Vault... my personal highlight : Lelee groovin on Guys I like (at the end)... The light skinned beauty once stated; Coko is powerhouse, Taj has the sweet alto and Im an old skool crooner.... Well this performance says it all... And all 3 are Still Stellar Live even after 25 years in the games.

There are just TOOO many things to love about this clip!!! • All 3 sangin! • Coko actually harmonizing with Taj & Lelee (something I seldom hear her do live) AND still sing lead • Upbeat songs (which I still prefer for these ladies) • They look amazing • Sound confident • Did I mention 3 (as in all three) part harmony? • and on and on the list goes! I could watch this all day long!

Sang babies! TLC, Xscape, Kut Klose, Brownstone...out of all the groups, these 3 girls were my favorite.....I loved their swag and most of all I loved their Music. Their first album was my favorite but I loved all of them. Coko's voice gave them that distinct and unique sound, but Lee lee and taj harmonies did too. Forever a fan, I still buy their music to this day.. MCE is my favorite track from the new album.

Really? I always thought LeLee and Taj held back a lot and was often pitchy with harmonies, but eventually got it right. En Vogue and Xscape had harmonies that were mesmerizing to me because it was a unique sound. SWV had nice harmonies but with 3 ladies and 2 of them doing most of the harmonizing was a normal sound to me. To each is own tho

The difference is that both EnVogue and Xscape had powerhouse singers that had the ability to lead and background. SWV had/has a cute basic harmony but EnVogue and Xscape had more intricate harmonies.

Oh to be alive in 1994. I was 7. That was a good year. We got a super nintendo and starter coats that Christmas. We definitely tuned in, in real time or somebody taped it and we watched it the next day. Those were the days 🥰

youre absolutely right cos i have an old interview with lelee on a cleveland radio show just after swv broke up and she was not happy... amoung other things she was pissed saying, why did the label wait until they split to release songs with her singing leads... surprise me and mystery (greatest hits simitar)

Listen to the track "When This Feeling" on their 2nd album. Lelee sings the bridge and hits highs that sound like coko's lows. She has the widest range of the group but I think got lazy. If she had spent serious time working on developing her voice, she would be more prominent. And Taj's tone is so sweet. A distinct ringing sound like a light bell. No ONE in the industry sounds like Taj. That's a huge blessing to be so unique.
