Might be good to add that Bizkits round did _not_ sound like this live. The highs were even more peaky than already in the video and the bass was even more boomy. Robin's round meanwhile is basically unchanged compared to live. I'm normally not one to be too harsh on mix, but this actually affected the listenability of the rounds.
@@occitany2982 It hit in the sense that the audience had a good time, but I'd expect that judges would judge a mix pretty harshly if it makes the track hard to listen to. If the mix subtracts from the song that's not great and in the live-stream it was really hard to listen to (even if its technically impressive). The mastering of the song makes it sound like the difference between Bizkit's mix and Robin's mix wasn't that great but live it was night and day.
Well maybe in single devices, even then there's some i would say could still beat bizkit but if you mean like EVERYONE then not at all, Mahiro for example is currently almost unbeatable, only KBA and maybe Rushy would stand a chance
When judging a battle like this with two very different styles the only way to judge it is who made the most mistakes, sadly Bizkit messed up a lot of things in his first round and it didn't come out at all like he planned it to, and Robin was flawless, even if bizkit's stuff may be more complex Robin still did no mistakes, for me Bizkit won because he won the second round more than Robin won the first round in my opinion and could've won the final as well cause his second round of the small final was even crazier than this second round against robin and could've been the first back to back, but oh well big ups to Robin he truly deserved it anyways🙏🏾🤍 Also Robin and Bizkit both left really nice comments below the swissbeatbox video, just in case you haven't seen them😁🙏🏾
@@halo5807 he said it in a livestream, he said "I feel like I could've won GBB again and be the first back to back I really do, but Robin's and my style are so different the only way to judge it is to judge whoever did the most mistakes, and I made mistakes and Robin didn't, I'm glad that if someone beat me that it was him, he deserves it so much, it just wasn't my day, it was Robin's day and I am really happy for him🫶🏽" he also said that the first round didn't sound live even close to what he wanted it to You can tell in the spotify version of the song it's actually a great song I have it on repeat, but in here he had slight pitch issues, some distortion issues(most of the sounds that make the routine special didn't come out well live so you could only hear a lot of distortion and s little bit of voices behind), etc. The spotify version is so good if it would've been heard like that live he probably would've won💀
I've read somewhere that Robin's 2nd round was about a friend of his and Brez that passed away last year (Patrick aka PSquare or pprescot the man behind Loop Insider)
i think the reason bizkit's rounds at gbb sounded too high and loud is because he's quite literally pushing the limits with the mk1. He's using the far less advanced loopstation of the competition hence why he's making everything as boomy and jumpy as possible to compete with the mk2 sound But i don't think he has to, i really liked his first round here and i'd love to see him create more tracks akin to that kind of style.
To be honest, this was one of the best loopstation battles ever been there!! I think it's just logical, that Bizkits round sometimes are not as flawless as MK2 users would be, because it's like 10x harder what he does fr (followed his tutorials for a while, so it's insane how much he actually does)
@@mygoogle1525 yeah he said he tried it for some time, but he just didn't feel comfortable with it 🤷♂️and then he picked up the Mk1 again was it just felt more right for him, so he chose to stay on it A cool stand-alone thing tbh :) I'm on the Mk1 as well hahahaha
@@friedrich_82 I like his style but the high frequencies in a bad mix are not pleasemt for my ears. I think ,if it was mixed properly,he would have won against Robin. I koved away from rc505 completely. LoopyPro or Beardytron is the future i believe
I lean toward bizkit by a lot ngl, I don't mind the high frequency that i see most people point out so ig in that aspect my taste in sound is very similar to bizkits but why i also give it to him is bc its good Beatbox Looping. I get the whole like music aspect is nice and all that but to me its like is it really a good looping battle if all you do is a bass line and a few kicks and stuff and then just sing over that the whole round every single round? (obv i know robin does more than that but I'm just giving an example) where as bizkit does some of the most crazy s*** u will ever see done with just a mk1. Like yes his singing pitches are bad but he is more skilled IMO with the stuff he does. Now i myself am not a looper so i obv cant say how hard it is to do what he does on a mk1 to what robin does but from a listener standpoint and looking at how active they are while looping, Bizkits rounds looks like it would take u months if not years to get to that level while robin when it comes to purely the looping part doesn't look/sound all that hard to do. Yes getting it that clean can be hard but ye it's similar to what is happening in the normal full beatbox solo with like jairo as an example u have the one person who sings and the one that just does a bass the whole round almost. Like its a beatbox competition on a singing competition, Just my opinion though. Like i said the music aspect is nice but i just personally think looping complexity that sounds good beats mostly vocals that sound good, Love to both of them doe they are amazing artists. Read that robins second round was a tribute to his girlfriend? which is beautiful and u can definitely heard the passion in his voice 🖤🖤
I want to enjoy Bizkit’s rounds… for the second round, he simply needs to stop with the intensely high frequencies (but the round was decent besides that). And for the first round, I just can’t get over how flat he was leaning pitch-wise. If he wants to try singing higher in his chest voice, he has to work with a vocal coach (or at least practice A LOT to make his voice stage ready). I wish I could overlook flaws in singing technique like a lot of other beatbox enjoyers can but it just really bothers me. Plus, it’s a huge minus point for anyone outside the community. This might make me sound like a hater but I assure you I love Bizkit and most of his routines
I completely agree with what you have to say, but to hear yourself on stage with that much sound echoing, bouncing and vibration, it's hard to keep track even with a headset to hear yourself. I get where you're coming from, but Bizkit's style of looping really has a style of not really being able to follow rhythm as easy. Robin for sure takes the cake in this battle though, but overall to general feedback, what you said is completely true and makes sense.
@@yushisakamoto6537 you can hear just how tight his throat is when he’s singing high in his chest voice… singing on key is difficult when you’re on stage (unless you’re a professional singer/performer) but he’s not doing himself any favors with his technique. I’ve been told the studio version sounds a lot better so perhaps he feels nerves when going out of his comfort zone with those high notes. I’ve personally practiced singing and then on stage been nervous and fell a bit flat so I know the feeling… working with my vocal coach helped a lot.
@@EclipseBeatbox I also sing and have experience in purely vocals and stage presence and atmosphere. I agree that having a vocal coach will be nice because it has certainly helped me. I hear the tightness and restrictions in his vocals. Bizkit is trying to learn by straining his voice which will damage vocals, so in that regard, having a person to warm you is properly and guide you step by step in definitely necessary.
Sound design is not the best tho so I wouldn't really exaggerate like this:))) Robin delivered clean sound design and perfect masterpieces! As Sxin and Inkie said as well, BizKit's biggest problem is unclean sound design and distortion is so much that is just makes the beat and all other sounds drenched in distortion:))))
sorry but Robin absolutely deserved this win, beautiful, transporting music. This is coming from someone who absolutely loves the fast pace hard drops over slower stuff, but man, you can't fucking deny. You can't deny the goosebumps that Robin gave with this music. Beautiful art 🧡🧡
i don't really know why, but for me, bizkits first round was the best loop round i have ever heard. im not that into looping, but from what i heard until now, its the best by far

Here’s the facts! I was there with my friends, and we were shocked that the BIAS JUDGES gave the win to Robin, as they were anti USA beatboxers. Majority of people knew that BIZKIT is the WORLD CHAMPION!
first of all, only is because there's no second device allowed (besides launchpad, which is stupid), and second of all, bizkit said that he feels like he didn't push 100% of mk1 so he uses it untill there's nothing new for him I guess
