Yes, Sy was brave for speaking the truth. However, I want to address that he is a man not because of anything but simply because he "was born this way" as a man. A female Christian can also be brave speaking the truth (not including preaching men according to the Bible). Being brave and speaking the truth is a neutral things for both sex just like submissive to the teaching of the Bible. There are example in the Bible of brave woman standing for God. Though the Bible teaches us that woman are naturally weaker than man according to 1 Peter 3:7 but male and female are both call to be righteous in front of God. God love to see spiritually strong man and woman who doesn't desire to sin because this proves His power and mercy which glories His name. When we gather in Heaven before God we will have no sex not even marriage which is hard to imagine at the moment. Glory be to our Savior Jesus Christ!
Man...I found out about him a a few weeks ago, too bad he passed away but God the guy has a lot of courage and the speech to go with it. And his spiritual ministry has great great lessons about the sexual culture we are in. I thank God for his life
Love this guy…as a Christian that was active in the gay world for many years than felt God in my heart calling me to live as a celibate Christian has been challenging in its self. It’s been 12 years and a celibacy life, however, I still struggle with SSA and moments of lust. Everyday I put my trust and faith in Jesus to be obedient.
Cant believe this was in the late 80s? .. I appreciate his convictions. There are two sides to every story.. every time someone doesnt allow the other side to think, feel, believe what they feel it is a disservice. What gives one a rt to say otherwise? If he was changed who is it to say he wasnt? He was Obviously changed! Praise God.
Pastor Sy Rogers was so brave, sharing his life experience and he is a living testimony of how GOD transforms him to give people HOPE that if we believe in GOD, and be patient and lean in his love, we will heal. It was shocking to see women grill him on TV. Praise the Lord.
Many in the audience were angry and adamant. He was Courageous then! Today if he was in the same format, they would have come for his bl00d. It amazes me that they say "we don't know if we believe you." What?? He is sharing HIS EXPERIENCE. What is there to argue with?? Just as some alcoholics love alcohol, so some homosexu@ls are happy in their lifestyle. BUT some alcoholics AND homosexu@ls are UNHAPPY in their lifestyle. *This is hard for them to imagine because it doesn't fit the narrative and implies responsibility for behavior.*

Wow, thanks for sharing this! What a tough crowd, but Sy is a tough man who had a unique gift to communicate God's truth to a segment of society who are hurting and looking for positive change.
i am sure you noticed in spite of the antagonistic allegations, Sy was rapid fire , accurate, and very polite. .....and that sorta angered more than a few women....but why? I listened to an early interview on YT , and now cant find it. Sy told of two married guys, who simply decided to take up the Bible and see what all the fuss was about Jesus and what He had to say. After a number of months, these two gay men, saw the Savior for who He really was, and , in their words, were not reconciled to HIM. They both came to "belief" and received Jesus as LORD, and then dissolved their "marriage" . They came to Sy, who was still struggling, and told him of their change to becoming what God intended. That alone had a great impact on Sy , and the rest of his conversion became history. Those two men each went on to be happily married to wonderful women, as did Sy Rogers. Sy Rogers has recently passed away, and his passing was actually picked up by a number of main stream media. Amen to the Glory of God that changes lives
Greetings, that story of the two gay men that got married is part of his testimony. There are several versions on RU-vid of his testimony that should include that story. I would imagine it's included in all of his testimony videos because that's how he got saved.

I believe that because I was brainwashed into believing I'm just gay there was no other explanation and I just had to accept. but the more I dig into the topic, the more I've realized I'm 99% percent sure its a spirit that's behind me thinking I'm gay. and I am lost. my life is a mess and I've been through nothing but bad things ever since all kinds of crazy things like abuse and I'm near homelesss
At the end, Sally bashed his change and his faith. It's surprising to see that audience opinions aren't different from today's, the only difference is that people yell these days. I know it may sound silly but I could compare homosexuality with being left-handed, with correction in the early stages it can be redirected. Once the person is an adult, it's no longer parents responsability but it's tougher to break the habit. Thanks for sharing this video.

@@LifterwiII I wish I had listened to his message back in High School instead of embracing the "Gay" identity for 12 more years. I left that false identity behind in 2009. Sy's message has helped everyone who has been willing to listen. It's not about an instant "cure" and some people may never see the attractions go away completely. One thing is for certain though, no one is born TO BE "gay." The "gay" identity is a false construct that leads only to destruction. I learned that the hard way.

He took over ONE ministry position, closed down the umbrella office and then used his former position to grab media attention for himself. That’s been the case with every news story, yet the real ministry work continues. Reparative and Reintegrative Therapists are still helping individuals resolve unwanted SSA (same-sex attraction), despite the smear campaigns and legal threats from unconstitutional bans on “conversion therapy.” More therapists are learning the work of Dr. Nicolosi than ever before. I am very grateful for the movement that you call “Ex Gay” and for the therapy you would call “conversion therapy” and I know several hundred who are as well.
