Thank you so much!!!! I might have spend 10 hours going mad about this on/off switch. To the point I was not using the pedal at all. Now I can add it back to my board

@@DaveWebbMusic I have multiple effects for multiple instruments all connected via midi, mostly boss. Id love to synchronise and tune all of them. You have been the first that give me a glimpse of my vision working.

Thanks for taking the time to do the demo. I've had a SY200 since launch and also control it with a Morningstar MC8. When I map the expression over MIDI CC messages to control the sweep of the tone, using it like a filter on a synth by sweeping my foot on the expression pedal, it buffer over runs the pedal and crashes it and I have to power cycle it. I ended up connecting an expression pedal direct to the SY200 but this is not what I intended to do and my experience would put me off getting another Boss MIDI capable device. Have you tried this and experienced anything similar? Keep up the great content

I've been trying to change the Resonance with my GT 1000 Core, and it just does not seem to manipulate this parameter as it does the D. Level or E. Level. Any advice?

I'm having issues getting the sy200 to respond when I change time on my quartz clock. Other midi functions seem fine

I don’t know anything about the Quad. All I can say is to make sure you have clock send on, on the Quad, & clock receive on, on the SY200.

Liked the video! Hi Dave, when I try to plug my 3.5 MIDI cable on teh Boss SY200, the 3.5m pin stays lose. Do I need any adapter or special cable?

Is it possible to plug the sy200 into my computer via USB and add a piano patch to the sy200? I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. Thx.

No. The sounds are built in to the pedal. Guitar is tracked and the sound is reproduced.

I have a question! Can you use the sy200 as a midi controller? Can I connect it thru MIDI OUT 3.5 to Midi and play vsts? I want to turn my guitar into a midi controller for my vsts on my Mac.

If I understand correctly, short answer is no. The SY200 is audio. Your guitar is tracked, and reproduced into a synth sound. The Midi side of the pedal could be mapped to parameters in your vsts, but you would still need to press the buttons, turn the dials, etc. Your guitar will not trigger any of that.
