Sycra Interviews Sinix 

I'm embarrassed to admit this... but I've been subscribed to both Sycra and Sinix for years, and only recently (I'd say only a couple months ago) realized they were 2 different people. I think I may have brain damage.

Yay, Sinix! I can relate to that guy. I go off on crazy tangents all the time and then become obsessed with them for weeks only to find something 'shinier' and completely forget about the previous one.

Sycra's face is always a nice surprise

so inspiring the message that comes back all the time with these interviews is pretty similar there is a period in time where you have to super commit consistently to enable one self to become at least competent ,skill wise, as an artist.

Sinix is a good example of a great artist who can take art seriously without taking art to seriously. Art is supposed to be Fun above all else and he might not be the best artist ever, but I feel he is the embodiment of just, having fun with art. Thanks sycra for sharing this. Still waiting for you to interview my man Stan proko.

This was so interesting. Reminds me a lot of people with ADHD and I mean this in the most admiring, loving way. I heard Sinix say he was on the spectrum. It‘s reassuring to me that you can be this successful as a neurodivergent person. Amazing interview!

yay! Sinix, I think he's been my favorite guy you've interviewed, his story is really relatable, especially the stresses of losing touch with artwork. I'm a lot like Sinix with my art. I got my first commission after only half a year of doing "serious art", and this one was a relatively big commission too. It was for some kind of web-based game (30-40 landscape paintings, I think) and I was like "uh, I shouldn't be offered this, I have no idea what I'm doing" but everyone insisted that I was really good (and I still disagree on that). But I accepted it anyways, and it went fairly well until they ended up abandoning the game project halfway (I was still paid for everything I did so it's all good). I don't take commissions anymore though, they stress me out to no end. I also don't draw or paint everyday. Not even close. There are times when I go several weeks, or sometimes months, without doing any art at all. But I still pay attention to stuff like perspective, values, colors, lighting etc. trying to gather as much as possible by just observation. And sometimes it works, because when I come back to art, I feel like I've improved just so much.

I love the drawing of Sycra and Sinix. It's how I'd feel, if I were being interviewed -- RUN AWAY!! I've never heard of SINIX before. Will definitely check him out. He's interesting. Thanks for the interview, Sycra!

I would love to see a video series where to artist grab the same design shape and separately create their own piece, after show the final piece and see the different design decision. This could be valuable since you can see weather a shape instantly pop the same idea of if you are it inspires originality.

Oh man! This is a deja vu. It was just like Sinix is talking about my life. Had so many `serious´ hobbys one of them was flying. Yep, I had a flying licence as well. :D And I abbandoned all these hobbys sone after I returned to art when I was about 20. Now I´m 23, so what comes next ... EA! :D That would be ridiculous!

I also understood how he felt when he started to talk about being competitive and wanting the drawing to be perfect. -_- I'm in that current state, so. I'm trying to be more creative and not doing what everyone else is doing, I just wanna do my own thing. *air five* ;u;

Sheesh Sinix sounds exactly like me. Soo many interests and talents and skills, and experimenting in different creative outlets. I wasn't focused on art either, it was mostly a hobby to me, and even now it's not something I do completely seriously as a career. I don't know. Like he said, when I try and do it as a job it seems like I can't be as creative and it doesn't have the same feeling behind it. It's just a lot of chaotic odd projects and jobs here and there too iv'e been doing as well. Haha, like everything he says sounds like it explains my journey. Even down to being self-taught, which I am as well. I'm a really lazy artist as well unfortunately.. I think about the art but I barely actually draw anything.

Hi @sinixdesign i`ve found so hard to setting up my acrylic dry brush just like yours. Can you PLEASE share your brush setup? i cant block/cut/smooth/mix like yours in all your tutorial vids . Mine seems to be so rough. I´m finding amazing this corel painter tool because of you.
