In Australia, iced coffee is typically served over ice cubes, which is a standard practice here. If a customer prefers a blended drink, similar to a coffee frappé, they can specifically request it. Otherwise, the default is to serve iced coffee with ice cubes, not blended.

Iced coffee put through a blender is not iced coffee, it’s called a smoothie!

Wouldn’t that be a frappe?

Just to clarify, in Australia, a standard flat white comes with a thin layer of microfoam, which allows for latte art. This is the norm across cafes here. However, if a customer specifically requests a flat white with no froth at all, baristas will accommodate that preference. But typically, a flat white will have some foam so what you see in the video is indeed a flat white (in Australia).
