Sorry to ask but where do you launch from? Wanting to get out to the harbor but have no idea where to launch from, even after looking around.

@Roll On Forty I launch from the beaches in the sheltered corners. Just need to watch the waves and make sure it is small and manageable. You can launch at boat ramps too

That's awesome and off the yak to boot! How many meters deep is it there?
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing 2 года назад
I enjoy the yak sessions! Hard to tell how deep without a sounder. Probably covering 10-25m on those drifts

Can you give me some tips on sydney snapper I've tried to catch them for years now and haven't caught any ones near to having humps on their heads can you give me some pointers like what plastic to use what jighead and some locations to try my luck
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing 2 года назад
@bluewaterfever looks like you got yourself a good one last year! I fish a lot of shallower water using a 1/4oz jig head with 5 inch plastics. Cast ahead of the drift and letting the lure sink on a semi slack line. In NSW, they are found almost anywhere there is reef and particularly where it meets sand or gravel. Try spots no one else fishes

Hey mate, I've got some rock fishing and boat vids in the works. But yeah, I've been fishing out of the kayak a lot too. Sounds good, can't wait to get back down the coast. Lots to explore!

Really good snapper for Sydney standards! Were you north of the Harbour Bridge?
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing 2 года назад
South of the bridge this session but definitely some good ones north of the bridge!

@@bugsyfishing Great catches. I know exactly the area, but wonder where it would be best to launch my kayak. The beach in front is probably the best option. Good reefs out that way, I used to scuba dive in that area, even from the shore!
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing 2 года назад
Hey @Akos beach launch is definitely the safest option. Usually pretty easy except when there is swell

Mate I just 200 dollar for my birthday should I get the td black rod? I was looking at the td black itchy twitchy and the Macka which the macka is slightly is heavier so I want to use it for the pelagics like rats and bonitos, but which one should I get first?
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing 2 года назад
Awesome Josh! Happy birthday mate. I don't know much about those rods. I always buy the one I think I'm going to use the most. Hope that helps
