In effect, she is way ahead of where she wants to be before Paris in her preparation----She is about to do something very special for the ages in Paris-------wooooooo
No. They are still about a full second faster than her which is a lot in the sprints. However, Sydney would have beat all of them in the flat 400m hands down.
Femke may make her run under fifty. If she can hear her footsteps steps, she will run under 50. I use to listen for footsteps when I ran the 440. It was called that back then. 🤣
God, what an inspiration. She is focused, beautiful and determined. Keep going. I am not religious, but am wondering if she is on to something with the man upstairs.
Yes! She is❤ you can see the difference in how bright she shines since her baptism in 2020! God has filled her with peace, true love, (look at her proposal and wedding!!!!!!) and a spirit of excellence.❤
She definitely took the Belichek master class in handling the media during interviews. Very to the point answers, very little rambling, very positive, humble and nothing controversial, and at 24 yrs old that's impressive.
It's sad if we as fans are satisfied with a "time record" than with true greatness which is doubling or competing at a new event "open" at the world stage. Clear to see she outgrew this hurdle event.
@@mp8359”Outgrew” is a strong word as we can clearly see she is growing in this event as evidenced by her time. I think you as a fan are simply dissatisfied she doesn’t take her talent else where. If God wants her in this event she will stay in this event
LOL! But isn't that the very definition of goat? They blow any competition out of the ocean!😂 She's in her own league and running against herself! You go GOLDEN GIRL!!!
@forestdweller5581 she was baptized after professing Christ in 2020. You can know Christ too if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Christ is Lord, Repent of your sins, He will be your Savior. He died for all and loves you!❤
Lots of love from Jamaica, Sydney! She is such an intelligent young lady, one of the smartest, most eloquent and articulate athletes, and always so polite! What a class act! It’s sometimes hard to believe she is only 24; so mature and wise beyond her years. She seems like just the most awesome human being all round. ❤💜💚💙💗💖💞💓💛❣️🖤💕
Syd has the aura and personality to single-handedly bringing T&F back into the mainstream in the US. Tiger, Michael, Ali, etc…Syd has the elusive “It” that makes us all watch..
I missed the live because of dinner but have been watching the post-races. I'm not at all a student of the dashes and hurdles, so I'm learning. I am frankly astonished by the really sharp thinking of these track athletes, compared to a lot of other events/sports. Really, really smart people.
Watching greatness occur right before your eyes is so satisfying and to see her humbleness is wonderful. Throw in being absolutely beautiful spiritually and physically just adds to an amazing inspirational person for any American.
How is she spiritually beautiful? Because you share her stupid belief system yourself. A truly beautiful spiritual person would not need religion or bibles at all.
Yes! She's our golden girl!!!!! She doesn't get the hype and respect she deserves!!!!! But that's ok, she doesn't run for that. She's in another class🎉🎉🎉❤
Love her love for Jesus and how she represents the kingdom of God. She is so humble.....just pure brilliance. Go Sidney! Will be waiting for you to win more gold medals. Continue to put God.
Most likely her last Olympics doing the 400m hurdles. It only makes sense for her to move to the 400m flat and possibly double the 200m in the future, ala Michael Johnson
At this point it is difficult to speak of any challenger to her, except the clock. Still hope Femke arrives in fine form in Paris, just so the race is a bit more interesting.
Sydney is on a different level. Everyone is focused on speed, fitness … Sydney is talking about “how to run”, mastering steps between hurdles as she continues to elevate her speed/fitness.
Would be a medalist at the 400 hurdles the open 400 the 4x400 and the 200 she is an amazingly blessed athlete love this young lady. To me she should be the face of US women's track.
Sydney you have the sort of intelligence, honesty humble attitude, and ideal body to meet your goals. I always enjoy your interviews. You obviously have that brain-beauty-talent connection!!!
I'd love to see her compete in the 400m and 400m hurdles.. if the schedule is right and she's healthy enough.. that would be a record in the 400m. Congratulations to MCLaughlin for breaking the 400m hurdles record with a time of 50'67. In the 400m event, she also achieved 48'78, but she decided to only participate in her forte, the 400m hurdles. See you again at the 2024 Olympics in France.
@binhangch7046 She won't do both because of the energy it takes. To run the heats, semis and finals in both would be way to hard. It's the not the same as the 100 and 200. She will never do both and have a chance to win world records in both at the same time. I would rather see her shut down Femke Bol and end all this Dutch talk coming from Dutchland while running another WR. I can see her maybe running 200 and 400 flats at one event, but not both 4's! Also keep in mind what happened to Shamir Little who tried to do that. Disaster Happened!
Po loňské pauze to asi nikdo nečekal. Zdraví je důležité a u sportovců často ohrožené. Rozhovor se mi moc líbil, zbožná žena, navíc působí dojmem psychicky stabilnější a rozumnější dívky než tomu bylo dříve. Možná jí pomohlo manželství. Hodně štěstí v Paříži! Ale pozor, držíme palce také Femke! 😜🙏🦌🌺
Keep your knees crossed as well because you will need it for Femke Bol to come second to Sydney🤣🤣🤣😅😅----Here in America, we are laughing at the Dutch people wasting their time crossing their fingers instead of being on their knees hoping that Sydney has mercy on poor Femke Bol in Paris😛😛😅
Time will tell, Bol does have the world indoor 400 metre flat record , am thinking it will be dowm to them 50 metreas out , am anticipating a close finish, time will tell, go girls !
Overhere in the Netherlands we had high hopes for Femke Bol, her only real opponent in the world, to maybe beat her in Paris. Guess we'll have to put that thought in the freezer.
@@QuamfyMarc I’m afraid you’re right. Femke must overperform to around 51.0 and pray her opponent has an off-day. It’s possible, though not very probable.
Poor Femke Bol---In the beginning of 2024, she thought she was going to win the Olympic gold 400mh----but it was all a dream----Her fans lied to her and now, they know that it is not gonna happen, sorry, Femke Bol.
@@kobbieafriyie2172 What a Bullshit American thoughts! Sure Sickny is now favorite but anything can still happen. Minor injury, hitting hurdle or a bad day. So Femke can still win!! Likely no but possible yes!
@@QuamfyMarc That's why I'm panting and drooling that Sydney kicks her ass and WR. Not because I don't like Femke 'because she's caught in a situation that those running against Usain Bolt were caught in', it's not going to happen if they both make the final. But because you asses from dutchland talk Racist and disrespectful shyt. I really her, but not her country!
🤣 Nope. Look Femke is good, there is just no denying Sydney is superb and on a whole other level; This doesn’t take away from any other athletes abilities but rather makes Sydney’s abilities stand out as incredibly impressive. Sydney is without a doubt going to destroy the 400mH in Paris. Go Sydney, go!! On another note, Anna looked great in trials so she may very well give Femke some tough competition; Go Anna, go!!
Both are terrific as athletes and as people/role models. We need more of the second than the first. I find both impossible to root against. SML is from the next town and half mile from my family. Great person and family before she became famous. A great athlete before she was ten
@cuthbertjolly4859 Not really for Usain only ran 1 WR and she's run 2 WR at her last 2 majors. And that's not counting the 3 WR that she ran at her American trails. And whether or not she runs sub.49, I still smell a WR coming in Paris!
I hope Femke Bol and her fans were watch; they better hope Femke can get a Silver Medal in the Olympics because Anna Cockrell have really gotten better.
she will be lucky if she is 2nd. Clayton (Jamaican) already has 52.51 sec and now Anna C with 52.64 sec, both are in play for silver and bronze alongside her
@@denisa.4198 Femke is a workhorse for the NL, she was in the 200 at her trials but isn't that contested in Europe so pulling that "PB" wasn't with pressure from other world class hurdlers at her level. She'll have to run for her life through the rounds in Paris and she's not used to that.
@@trillviaplath she is the World Champion in that event there is no one better except sydney 😭. Femke has been running low 52‘s and high 51‘s now consistently for over 2 years especially at championships she will get the silver medal.
if sydneys gonna run sub 50 in paris then femke must do sub 51. it’s going to be soo exciting. just looking forward to see these amazing athletes compete
@@kobbieafriyie2172 I'm hoping that Anna can take silver. I'm finding these dutch people to be racist and disrespectful. I really like Femke but her speed is so 2019. Maybe if she was running these speeds back then, she could've gotten inside Dallilah and Sydney's head. Waay back then. Barring infractions or injury, I feel that if Femke and Sydney both make the finals what Femke's outcome will be. Anna will only be the icing on the cake
@@mario72g The Dutch people are shamelessly racist and disrespectful----To this day. they still celebrate a tradition call, "Black Pete" which dates back to the 19th century--This tradition depicts white people painting their faces black with afro wig. and large red lips-------Sad sad Ps... I am hoping Anna takes silver as well.
50 point mid-range actually!...destiny sub 50....incredibly mature in her interview from the earlier years, but then to be expected I suppose, she's an icon.
I love Sydney Maclaughin and I am looking forward to seeing her in Paris. But are you serious? There was less difference between Sydney and the last participant in this race than there is between the men’s and women’s record.
@adinisrael3574 I believe that she realizes that running those 2 are way easier than 400h and 400 flats. If she doesn't sub 49. in Paris but still WR. She won't persue running the 400h, but move on to those 2 disciplines. So here's Hoping with you! As far as doing 200 and 400 flat, she can't for she didn't compete in those 2 diciplines to qualify in this Paris Olympics.
IF Sydney can run the 400m hurdles in 49.99 seconds, then she could drop the hurdles next year (or even permanently) and focus on breaking the 400m flat WR of 47.60, an East German (steroid) record that has stood since 1985. I bet Syd could own both WRs. Sydney should NOT run the mixed 4 x 400 because a man from another country could run her over as teams pass batons. She lost last year to injury and the upside (a poorly regarded event) isn’t worth the risk for one of the greatest female Track stars in history. In Paris, Syd will run the 400m hurdles and the women’s 4 x 400 meters. She is likely to leave another Olympics with 2 Gold medals and possibly her sixth WR, which depends as much on the weather and the track as it does Sydney.
They have all gone underground since last night------they are hiding in their basements cooking up the next big lie to support Bol as the one to beat Sydney------their delusion and audacity know no bounds🤣🤣🤣
@priscilla2633 You have some age on you for Gorgas Hospital no longer exsist. How do I know? For I too was born Gorgas Hospital way back in 58,lol. One Love!
@@kobbieafriyie2172dont be delusional as femkes fans.. i definitly think femke will get a silver, but the gap between bronze and silver will be smaller than silver and Sydney
Sad she didn't got for the 400m and 400m hurdles double this year she would have had a great chance to win at 400m in Paris. I wonder why she didn't try to make the 400m team she really needs to drop hurdles after this season and go for the 400m titles she's too good to just do hurdles.
Do the questions have to come in on the heels of one another? I am impressed people can answer them intelligently that fast. Go Syd 🧠 And here I thought the only race was on foot!
I thought that it was over the last two hurdles ,that she was the smoothest, she made no adjustments to her stride and that is what gave her another world record .
