Dalilah, you have been a great competitor and champion. You are responsible for some of the most memorable 400mH events ever: Olympic gold at 2016 Rio, the scintillating showdown versus up-and-coming Sydney for gold at the 2019 WC in Doha, the trials showdown in 2021 in which Sydney finally broke through, and then that electric Olympic final a couple of months later in Tokyo. Thank you so much, Dalilah! You will be missed but not forgotten!
Dalilah, you are class and grace personified. What a joy to watch you perform on the world stage, running with grace and pizazz. A former WR holder, world and Olympic champion. No one can take that away from you. As one chapter closes, many more amazing chapters await you.
Dalilah Muhammad is so gracious, and such a great lady. She is definitely a champion. This is the example of a real champion. She is soo humble and great person all around. The fact that others mention her name is a testament to her greatness. Dalilah made the 400m hurdles for USA. Thank You. Thank You to a true American.
Such poise, humility and eloquence even when she did not get the results she had hoped for, and to direct the attention away from herself to Sydney sets Dalilah apart from most other athletes on the world-stage. As an athlete she may have surrendered her crown, but as a human being, she wears it with uncommon grace and enduring charm. Thank you, Dalilah for what you have done for the US Track and Field and for presenting yourself a wonderful role model for every little girl who dreams of making her mark on the track and off of it. You are and will always be a champion.
First of the US to break the WR in 2019 where she got Gold and first time Sydney broke the WR Dalilah pushed her to the line. This was the last great 400m hurdler before Sydney. Bless her
She was the lady Sydney had to look up to and take down! Father time catches all! She was great and like she said the competition has really gotten better! I love them all!
Im so glad Anna Cockrell gave praise to Delilah Muhammad. I've been saying for years that DM never got the recognition she deserves for settng todays standard for the 400mH as we know it roday. Good fortunes to DM moving forward in life.
I love her energy. It has been crazy to watch the evolution of the 400H over the last 10 years or so. I really wanted her and Little to make the team along with Anna and Syd ( I know, I know. Only 3 can go but come on! One is the reigning champion)
Love Dalilah! What a great champion and as Anna Cockrell said, raised the bar for the 400 hurdles. And such a gracious person, a Champion as a person as well! Thanks Delilah!
She's the 2nd pro veteran I heard mention that they ran out of time. I wonder what some results would be had these trials started in July. I always trust the vets as the season advances
Dalilah Muhammad: At Her Best She Was The Best. She Charged Each Race (Although Really More Than A 'Sprint') Like It Was 60 Meters or 100 Meters) Full-Out Spirited And......You Knew/Felted That She Was Giving It Her All. Frankly; That Is All You Can Ask!!!!!! I Can't Help But Love Her Spirit Of Heart She Let Me/Us Experience!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You had a amazing career. I witness firsthand your sportsmanship and your work ethic. You’re the best. You make me wanna run the track. Oh, lease around the block. Lol 😂❤❤
Well, in the past several years, that is true but not 'ever'. Recall, Sydney was in Rio at age 17...got 5th in her heat (q) and then 5th in her SF (did not qualify for final).
@@javonneb.8676I agree with you! Some of these people want to jump on what’s ‘hot’ right now and don’t want to learn about what came before them. What’s wrong with stating that Dalilah was winning GOLD medals and breaking world records before Sydney was able to beat her? That is the facts!
All class and dignity. She set the stage and made the others have an idea what could be possible. I’d not bet against her coming out and finishing strong and under the time she ran at the trials. Props to Anna for so publicly giving her her flowers.
Loved Anna's tribute to her, love me some Dalilah! She's a legend in the sport and hasn't really gotten the necessary praise for it - my guess is her religion/last name was a serious part in this, which is unfortunate. She's stellar in the flat too and murders a relay, she can absolutely make Worlds focusing on that and retire on a high. 🤗
Unfortunately father time catches up to all of us, hopefully before that happens you get to achieve all. Deliah has done that, she is instrumental in turning an event that was in the background to the forefront. You don’t stay young forever… something I tell my daughter everyday!
Thank you Dalilah for being soo graceful and setting the standard for the 400m hurdles! I loved watching every race you were in. A true Champion and Legend in USATF! 🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥👏🏾🇺🇸❤️
You have been awesome you have brought the go to United States first to always remember that what's Sydney and Anna cockrell I praise you all the time Fresno California God loves ❤❤❤
This is one special athlete! She did bring the women’s 400 hurdles to the fore. She has been a great competitor. But her modesty and grace is is outstanding! I see why her fellow competitors love her. “Live long and prosper” Dalilah. And thank you for your contributions to the sport, your excellence, and your graciousness.
