Part of Australias greatest infrastructure development boom. Fantastical scale across NSW including the Inland Freight Rail project. Unfortunately all the tradies and engineering skills are not available for the housing shortage. However after completion in late 2026 there will be an economic lift off built on solid infrastructure.
Sydney has been ruined by the housing crisis ..........disgusting that Australians are living on the street or one easy step from living on the street. 60 to 70 percent of Sydney siders with never own a house and rent forever due to plain and simple greed. The heart has disappeared from both political divides.
Really can't understand why the Leapington line wasn't continued through to St Marys. That way you a basically have a direct line to Central / CBD suburbia. Was rumours true these metro units are different to other existing ones?
There are many planning documents for an extension of this line to Macarthur, with the Leppington connecting to one of the new stations south of the airport. Using the T1 is much faster than the T2, and allows for the bulk of Western Sydney to quickly get to the airport. The people near Leppington already have the T8. Additionally, you are right. The rolling stock for this line will be extra wide at 3.3m and the stations have been built for 4 car trains rather than 8. The initial trains will be 3 car.
Thank you as its a construction site I trying to a more Cinematic in my videos and try to Convey a more Informative and enjoyable viewing experience cheers col 👍
@@colindobson4045 And it certainly shows. Something I've noticed is, if I imagine myself going there on the M12 or the Metro, it has a sort of strong sense of 'arrival'. You can see the terminal and aircraft in the distance getting closer, then both the metro and the motorway swing round in towards it. They then dive into the Elizabeth Drive underpass, to emerge suddenly into the airport itself. It takes a bit of imagination at the moment, but I think it will have an almost theatrical impact; like the opening scene of a big movie. I suspect the effect is deliberately contrived in the design.
Thank you for watching my video so that area were the Elevated viaduct is being constructed could have some minor flooding so just to be safe the Engineers Designed this part of the airport train to be Elevated I'm looking forward to riding the first train from that line 😀
one thing that will always baffle me is why would they build a small city of homes next to the new airport? all the residents are going to complain about the noise.
The question is why would anyone buy a home or unit next to a airport however if you look at any airport around the world their is millions of people living around airports so going by that it isn't that bad 🤔
I really expected an underground link from the metro to the airport terminal not a covered walkway above ground. Not a good impression for new arrivals to Australia. I hope to be here on day 1 when it opens.
It occurred to me that Journalists have been piling on to the State Government in Victoria over delays to the rail link for Tullamarine. Here we see the wondrous things wrought by the Commonwealth Government who are happily spending over the $5 BILLION of tax money on this gift to the wonderful state of grifters and scroungers.
Especially when they could have spent a fraction of the money to extend Leppington to New Western Sydney Airport, a few lousy km's and you could then potentially have a direct express train to Mascot Airport & Sydney. The Government is deliberately NOT building this because of their Privatisation obsession & hidden agenda's. IF THIS IS NOT TRUE, THEN IT WOULD BE BEING BUILT RIGHT NOW.
So than that means you won't be using the airport or train line 🤔 everyone has an opinion and that's fine however before you criticise the overall project wait until it's all completed with people living in the airport area and ask people how their experience is using the airport and train stations
@@colindobson4045unfortunately I work in it & live around the corner it's paid me a salary for the last 3 yrs and I can say it's probably the dumbest infrastructure project to ever get funded... The money all $23B of it would have been better spent on a high speed rail to Melbourne!!!
