ghostengineer Probably because American subways aren't automated... those glass barriers do become an issue when you're trying to film or get photos, particularly at the underground Sydney Metro stations like Castle Hill, Hills Showground or Norwest, where your reflection gets in the way.
@@nicholetheotter1957 They do get in the way for filming, however they are awesome because they prevent accidents happening on the line which would cause massive delays on the automated line
And in other news, two more S Sets have now been retired. The sets were S65 and S103. And then the inevitable day of sadness for S Set fans once B24 enters service...
Likewise for EMU fans as sets 01 and 04 have now been phased out. Thankfully set 01 will be preserved and brought back to as close to the original condition as possible
7:24 Face reveal! Also, so annoyed that I didn't get to see you at the Transport Heritage Expo... though at least I did have fun filming heritage trains on the Illawarra Line, and got some photos of F1.
Jonathan Ng They are keeping some S Sets for emergencies, and they will be sticking around on the Carlingford Line and Lidcombe to Olympic Park shuttles as other trains will have to do duties on other lines. It’s also due to the rollout of the Tangara Technology Upgrade, which means extra Waratah A sets filling in for some T set rosters on the T1/T9 lines, while some K and C sets may have to fill in for the missing Waratahs on the T2/T3/T8 lines.
I was looking forward to an upgrade but now having ridden on on these new trains I'm mighty disappointed that transport minister was so cheap or maybe streamlining it but they got all the seats against the wall making everyone ride sideway and I hate travelling side way make me a bit nauseous they should allow people who suffer motion sickness riding side ways some seat allowing people to ride head on. Oh well at least it's faster
Alik S This was filmed last weekend, when I actually met Phil and Paul at Bella Vista. They were out on the Metro North West together that weekend, both filming and getting photos. I only just said hello to them for a bit and had a starstruck moment, before I let them go off to attend to their filming duties.
