Omg I cannot tell you shitty I felt when I realised more than half of my friend group was fake. And how they spread rumours about me. I literally had a mental breakdown. So here I am, not knowing the difference between a fake and real friend, simping for a celeb who doesn’t even know I exist then crying each night because they well never notice you and you will never meet them, you’re just another one of their thousands of fans . Uncaught smuggler you’re missing the point they were making. yes all those things were messed up for stan but she was not intentionally “playing with his feelings”. for some time she thought she could like stan but the moment she realized she couldn’t she changed her actions
wonder fel i agree with you. And also when Syd found out that she likes Dina she tried to ignore that bc she thought that it’s unnatural and it shouldn’t be like that. She also felt that in a perfect world, she should like Stan, bc they really are meant to be together. But Syd just didn’t wanna accept that she likes Dina more, so she tried to push things more with Stan, which oc was confusing for him. But after that she eventually realized that she can’t force herself to love him, she made it crystal clear and also tried being a good friend afterwards (sad thing that possessive, horrible guy that Dina dated (luckily i can’t even remember his name) ruined everything.)

THANK YOU. People are saying that she's bi just because she had sex with Stan. She would do ANYTHING to staye with Dina, and to her, the best decision was to date a boy so they could stay all day talking about them, but the never liked Stan in that way. AND Netflix conffirmed that she's a lesbian. They literally posted on Instagram a photo saying "stares in lesbian". They wouldn't do it if she was bi. They changed it in the show.
Dude, it's exactly like when people say straight characters are gay because they want them to be. It's the same thing... she's a fictional character, people are allowed to imagine what if about her since she's not real. Honestly, I think Syd and Dina are a toxic and forced union. Something like "Hi, minorities! Check out this series! She has a lesbian couple!" even though Dina and Syd fit well as friends. Let's face it, most just continued to watch the show because of the chemistry between Syd and Stanley. (Emphasizing that I am not being homophobic at any time, just expressing an opinion to those who have been confused by the whole series).
Honestly as a bi girl, I disagree. Seeing her go through the falling for my bff experience was really cool, bc LGBTQ go through that at least once. I was rooting for Syd and Dina the whole time. It made me so happy to FINALLY see some representation.
I'm a pansexual girl, and it is refreshing to see someone like the opposite gender(anyone for that matter), but I couldn't see the chemistry between Syd and Dina. I still think that Syd and Stanley have more chemistry, seeing as he's been there for her through all of this. Don't get me wrong, I love that her and Dina are 'together' (not rlly together) but I kinda feel like it was forced. I think that Syd would be Bi but have more of a liking towards girls. I like them sm since every other tv-show/film casts way older actors as teenagers !! In this one, they casted actors that are actual teenagers irl, so they really managed to capture the relatable awkwardness in teenage romance and I LOVE THAT. 😩
When I was watching the show I shipped Syd with Stan and Dina, so I would’ve been happy either way, but Stan was always my favorite character and I feel so bad for him

AND EVEN THEN, Syd stated SEVERAL times she did not like Stan romantically and to erase that is both lesbophobic and sexist to a certain extent.
