looks amazing, I lived in Mascot for a number of years until recently, hopefully will live there again and saw all of this coming up. It was a long time in the making but the end result is well worth it. I was in Mascot yesterday and it still boggled the mind how many people wouldn’t use it and would cross the road to go into the station or come out of the station concourse on the other side to cross the road!
It is such a useful entrance. Saves having to cross the road to use the original entrance. Hopefully soon people will notice the new entrance and use it more :)
I last lived in Sydney was in late May 1981, though I visited Sydney on short holidays staying with relatives during 1982, 1983 and more recently in early 2000. In 2000, I rode the light rail to Wentworth Park and also went on the monorail. I also visited the Sydney Tram Museum at Loftus while there.
I visited Mascot station years ago, back before my "carer" days. See if I can find some video I can do up of those days. This looks more open and refined than before. I love how we can see what is coming from the tunnels. A bit like St James or Museum. I wanted to check out Domestic and International Stations witout going through the pesky, expensive Opal stations. Thanks, again.
Hi Phil I want to take this oppertunity to wish you and your family A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thankyou for your video up loads through out 2023. And not for getting to mention a great video upload. All the very best.
Nice new entry and the art work is great. Pity they never bolted the track directly onto a concrete slab on that airport line. It would have decreased the amount of dust at the stations as well as reduced the need for unnecessary track maintenance.
@@sydneytrainsvlogs I’m impressed with it, attractive access for about 1/2 the rail users unclogging the existing entrance and avoiding crossing a busy road. It’s smaller than I anticipated by the area that was excavated, the extra area would of been used for infrastructure I’m guessing
Quick question! How do trainspotters find out about additions to the rail network and stuff like this? I can’t find it on news sources and I want to capture videos on these things but I can’t find out when they’re happening or even what’s happening.
