That livery brings back nostalgia!

I can remember before the green vinyl seat covering they had like a tan/orange colour with cloth combination - was comfortable like a lounge. Many good memories enjoying the view on the South Coast line.

Oh wow I am watching this 6 years later and this brings back many memories about the old V set livery.

I always used to love sitting in those old guard cabs

A year and a half later and it's pretty much 'fairwell V Set' in general.. 😞 I'd love to procure, strip out, refurbish and plumb & wire up an old car or two to live out of! I'm sure all the neighbors would just love living next door to a train station.. 🌳🏠🚉🏡

Nice vid! Although I have to say it, the green/brown interior looks sooo much better than the 'interesting' purple one. Shame to see it go. And those DK seats are lookin good too.

I was 4 years old when this was gone. I can't believe that I missed such a good era by being born at the wrong time.

V sets run on the The Blue Mountains and Newcastle lines.

i miss the wooden look but now its ugly purple

i like this a lot better then the purple ones that still operate in the blue mountains until 2019

did you ever film in the original V sets (before camshaft) the double deck interurban Unit (DDIU)

I notice that windows, the wooden panel walls and the light look the same as old Adelaide Jumbo 2000 series. So I believe that one built before 80's or so similar to Jumbo built around that time before servicing first time in 1980. It would actually be interesting to see DK series seats in bush plum

I don’t ride this often but, you need to open four manual doors to get to the next carriage?

I think that the driver cars where first class and that's why DIM8045 has DKT series car seats

that livery looks like the ukraine flag- but they use the hamburger livery now
