And they did nothing to deserve it they jst gave millions of dollars and sure enough they were put into the first division. Football in Australia is a joke 🤣
Proud of Uli Davila! Been watching him since he starred in the U-20 World Cup with Mexico then went to Chelsea! Played for my team Santos Laguna and even got to meet him once in Dallas!
95% in the stadium were Sydney Croatia supporters. Without them there would've been no atmosphere. The A-league is a joke and I can't see it lasting unless they form a second division and include real clubs like Sydney United, Preston Lions, Melbourne Knights etc
@@alpexmate the A league ruined the football community especially clubs not in the east, the eastern clubs get all the money while clubs like Perth glory get left in the dust tell me it's equal because it's not. This is why I stick to Europe than Australia so much atmosphere than this moshpit of franchises in the A league
"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them." Karl Popper 1945. It's a powerful statement that carries importance to this day. If we tolerate intolerant ideologies such as white supremacy, then they will be allowed to flourish. That doesn't mean society has to be violent, but the enemies of tolerance should be pushed to the periphery of society. Kick them out of your bars, places of worship, social media feed, neighbourhood, school grounds, and politics. Once the Nazis are allowed to openly operate in tolerant society, it's going to take a lot more than punching to get them out.
@@CommissionerManu Fuck your welcome to country. You can do that cult like ritual if you want but don't try and force the rest of the country to do it at every oppurtunity.
100% believe the performance of the team and support behind Sydney United show the need for an introduction of a B-League with promotion/relegation, but good luck getting much support after the fans booed the welcome to country. If they showed respect during the welcome to country and national anthem I’m sure they would’ve been backed. But now the fan base is too much of a liability for the A-League board and won’t be worth the risk of tainting the A-league’s image if Sydney United fans are showing fascist and disrespectful behaviour.
@@joshuaanderson8123 There’ll always be disrespectful fans but you don’t see large groups of fans in England booing players when they take a knee before kickoff or doing fascist gestures or chants
@@MarkotheSerb really? I think it's equally embarrassing at the amount of vile racist and hating on Croatians by a lot of Australians in the media labelling Croatians as scum and fascists. I think a handful of individuals acting as juveniles hardly gives justification to label Syd Utd supporters or Croatians as Nazis.
@@ante7094 That's what they're! Fascists neonazi. They keep yelling sieg hail and lifting right hand.Calling Macarthur black players monkeys all game. There's no place for this behaviour in Australia
And with the photo showing a Croatian fan saluting, it was only one idiot. That doesn’t mean all of the were saluting. They were pointing at the other Sydney croatian fans for the chant zadom spremni which doesn’t make them Nazis.
I was at the game. 16k people and not 1 of them gave a shit about McArthur. Of Brisbane road played McArthur in the final they would have been lucky to get 1000 people there. Bring in the B league. This is proof that there’s no difference between a league and npl.

@@Chompdeez football, like life isn’t fair. In a free country you can’t force people to respect things. If they want to boo they should have the right to do so in punished. This shit country deserves 0 respect after how she treated her citizens during covid.
Sydney United shat on Macarthur with their fans. 16k total attendance and 10k of them would’ve been Sydney United. Well done FA establishing teams with no fanbases
@@marcusharrington5311 come off it mate... it was ONE GUY who did the salute (shame on him) and you squeamish hypersensitive dandelions are acting like it's the Fourth Reich. Honestly I reckon you blokes are just salty they got so far and their support is better than anything a franchise could fabricate.
This game is testimony how FA stuffed up when it set out to remove all ethnicity out of football in Australia. The national competition was so much better when we had clubs with clear Italian, Greek, Croatian etc links and as result we had better and more passionate crowds. There would have been more than 10 thousand Croatian community supporters there last night. I'm not from one of those communities, but think they are sorely missed. Those clubs produced some of our best players in the past, but for the last 2 decades we've stopped producing quality players and the crowds have been dropping off. Unfortunately FA won't turn back the clock and football will continue to become even more irrelevant in Australia.
The issue as well is that you can’t be having ethnic clubs in the A-League, what happens if Sydney United does join the A-league? Can only Croatian supporters follow them?
@@Frank-cg9cd Of course you can have non ethnic supporters at clubs with a particular ethnic base. They also have players that don't have a Croatian connection, so why not supporters? The same applies to all clubs with a (mostly) European background. The A League has lost many supporters who identify with a particular ethnic group because they can't identify with their local A League club. It is one of the reasons why A League crowds are so pathetic and in decline.
Sydney Utd never got anything like that crowd back in the NSL. There were Croatians from across the country in Sydney for a Croatian football tournament and they were all in attendance last night
Peter, both your comments are outdated. The game is moving forward in a more encompassing way on a true national level. It's played by more people then all other main sports combined. The sport cannot go back to how it was as this would certainly shrink its relevance. Having a competition based on ethnic based clubs is no different to the Supercars battle between Ford and Holden. That battle is dead and buried and Supercars acknowledge that. They have moved on and now promote the drivers. The A League is moving in the right direction.
to think that they needed a penalty to beat essentially what is a state league team? perhaps they should reconsider a license to a former huge NSL club like Syd United/S. Melb or Preston Lions ..
Imagine fans of one of the Berlin Teams doing straight arm Nazi salutes to Seig Heil and veneratiing Adolf Hitler yet it’s quite normal for the Croatian community to do this about their own WW2 Fascist leader . It’s not even a minority it’s the whole fan base .This Club should be disbanded unless it can purge its Nazi loving past .
Tomelic pretty much killed his team with that clumsy 1st penalty getting his legs tangled with Davila for no reason. That second penalty was just pure laziness from Gonzalez. One nil down in the 88th min why would you risk giving away a stupid penalty like that pulling Noone's shirt? Just shows you having players who lack discipline can unfortunately make the difference between either winning or losing a final.
a Massive thumbs up to the Sydney Croatia support! for not buying in to the Political correctness/woke b $hit & not allowing the indigenous lady to talk her rubbish before the game!!! well done 👏 👍

@@aussieL14M The 2nd one was not a dive. The bloke had his shirt pulled by an arrogant player, whose team has history of being arrogant from a Slavic background . So therefore stopped his momentum. He deserved a penalty. At least Alpex knows. They both were penalties. You would go down too, if you were held back or impeded. The game was already gone and dusted. It happened right at the end of the match, anyway. Just like the 2006 WC match in Germany 🇩🇪 with the Socceroos v Italy in R16, you'll say that was a blatant dive too. But Lucas Neill did actually touch Grosso, and he impeded his run by looking around on an angle and touched his ankle/foot in the guy's follow thru. Then the FFA gave him the captaincy in the following 2010 FIFA WC. So don't comment if u don't know the rules.

@@gustaaf1892 Fair enough but did you check the news about these supporters last night? The booing, and Nazi salutes are reported on every back page.
